Omar - I’m the same. Wasn’t trying to wind up with so many young guys, kinda just happened.
But if midway through the season Cabrera/Luzardo/Manoah and/or Miranda/Manzardo are all on fire, I’ll probably find one or two of them a forever home for a little competitive bump.

I have 8 dudes who’ll be under 27. I feel like I’ll also have to turn on the trade machine at some point, unless I’m totally out of the running in which case I’ll just hold and play out the string.

I’ve had top-tier hitting so far this season at least until today. And I believe a single good start from a pitcher.

Ohtani got dinged for a pitch clock violation but went aside with the umpire at the end of the inning with his interpreter to try to explain that he hasn’t finished his windup when it was called.

Finally able to sit down and take a look at the post-draft shake out. Send Nootbar's early lead is insane. Everyone is getting steals (except for me, which was the common theme last few years). QS and Wins continue to be as elusive as ever... esp as pitch clock anxiety is absolutely a thing, doubly knowing that baserunners will be running like crazy.

Whomever sent me that goofy trade proposal, sorry if my rejection was a little harsh but I'm not giving up 3 years of a better outfielder for your 1 year rental of a fading star who is ranked 34 spots behind my guy, lol.

Luzardo with 10 K and 1 run through 7 today! I hadn’t been targeting him in the draft, he was just the best arm out there when I went looking to add a SP - but there’s no way I can keep him, Manoah AND McClanahan! (all three got QS today)

manoah was my first pitcher selection this year — my league has a QS category so he was especially valuable last season. the projection systems think he overperformed last year but workhorse starting pitching is a scarce commodity

fried was my second SP pick. gotta love when one of your guys gets hurt 4 innings into the season. i ended up sacrificing Ks and maybe some upside for guys who pitch a lot of low ERA, low WHIP innings on good teams.

other guys i ended up with were logan gilbert, freddy peralta, joe ryan, pedro sandoval, hayden wesneski. more Ks here but more instability. gilbert i think could have a huge season tho and he’s another guy who regularly goes deep into games

we’re a keeper league so i’m also stashing brandon pfaadt in the event he comes up relatively soonish this year and pitches as well some of the projections think he could

luzardo is awesome, i love watching him pitch. if he can stay healthy the whole year i think he’ll be a top 10 pitcher in the NL and possibly the entire league.

i had luzardo last year and wanted to keep him, but was just concerned about his ability to stay healthy.

kinda wish I’d had more keeper options, I have concerns about several of my guys w/r/t health and performance, that’s why I mostly went with a youth movement this season. Probably overdid it!

my team is doing about like i expected - the offense is generally good, the pitching is ... not (somehow marcus stroman is my ace!?!). i had been planning to stream pitching but my first few attempts were disasters and i haven't seen many great options since then.

so i was looking for potential trade partners to swap some of my surplus of young, keeper-eligible batters for a reliable SP or two, but it's tough because everyone already seems to have a fairly large bank of keepers this season. but i'm open to trade offers if anyone wants to send me decent pitching.

I have never had consistent luck streaming SP. just too easy to hit a landmine playing matchups with fringe starters

welp, the worst players in baseball are off to a rough start. morale is low.

i'm in sell/trade mode, thinking of next year. i have a surplus of decent <27 keepers for next year, and a weakness in the 27-29 category.

this spreadsheet is more or less accurate, except that i no longer have the immortal danny jansen, and i do have 20-year-old SP prospect Eury Perez, who i drafted and makes his debut today.

if anyone would like to make a trade, i would like to improve my pool of 27-29 year old keepers, and i have at least one <27 keeper that i could part with as part of that trade. either Alejandro Kirk or Francisco Alvarez needs to go. pretty much anyone in my lineup could be considered for a trade, i just want to improve the team for next year.

if anyone has a trade they want to propose, let me know, otherwise i'll probably propose one of my own in the next few days

I didn’t mean to imply the season is over or anything. Just noticed will has hung into the lead for a bit now and had a three point jump last night. Also this was before my coffee and thought he had a 12 point lead instead of 8.

I am also very glad I didn’t pursue trading away younger guys when I was flirting with 4th place, as my team has now crashed brutally and might just drop Manoah entirely. (Which wil break my heart)

As soon as I dropped Jose Abreu my team started rising up. Clearly he was a bad clubhouse guy.
