Can One Hear the Sound of the Bass at a Steely Dan Show?

No! At least according to one TalkBass poster in this somewhat hilarious thread. People try to wave it away with bad venues, bad spot in venue, tales of supermen sound men adjusting for nulls in sound waves. Guy pushes back and says he has walked all over the venue, different venues, and finally Roger Sadowksy himself for it was he shows up to say that he too has never heard a note, and has told the band so on more than one occasion.
