wouldn't say it's ultra weird by his standards but am enjoying it a lot, I generally prefer it when he goes a bit more percussive like back in the skull disco days than when he goes proggy and Coil-ish

I thought the new one was referring to "The Purge of Tomorrow". Too many new Shackletons!

hmm idk sounds different / weirder / more interesting to me!! maybe i have to listen to the prior albums again, but they all sounded to me more or less like a modern (not sure if “bass music”) update on fourth world music

Have only heard the album a couple of times but I really like it (perhaps not as much as their first, but that's a very high standard).

yeah, a lot more focus on the Indian vocals here - but I like it a lot, too

Saw Shackleton a few months back doing a set around 3am at a Freerotation night at The Cause. It was a bit deep in the night so I can’t recall a huge amount of specifics excpet really enjoying it and that it was on the heavier more techno end of his sound.
