Who is the oldest person regularly posting on ILX?

We have a 1940, a 1945, two 1950s, a 1951, and a 1952 who have self-proclaimed as being older than I am! Hurray! But they haven't identified themselves, yet. Time for them to step from behind the curtain and claim their prizes.

1940 was CerebralCaustic, iirc.

1940 was the earliest option as well, so that one might not be a real vote. But if it is, that's incredible and it's really cool that we get to have them here on ILX

Anonymous internet polls are notorious for attracting joke responses, but I'm thinking at least a couple of those answers I cited are legit, even if they belong to lurkers who aren't exactly 'regularly posting to ilx.' I'm curious if they'll come forward.

Not sure I buy the two from the '40s. Definitely not 1940.

not a regular poster in fact not really any level or degree of poster these days but i usedta be (back as far as greenspun proto-ilx) & back then i felt like i musta been in the oldest 5%. 19-12-62 that's my number

though maybe if we count the "thread where we post like our momz" then there would def be a 1945 and probably older

I think I misread this and thought I was supposed to guess the earliest year. That means there should be one less vote for 1960 (I think) and one more for 1975.

I was hoping this poll would allow me to pass along the moniker of 'oldest known ilxor', but until somebody steps up to claim one of those birth years before 1954 I guess I'm stuck. And considering the many disparaging comments about old people I've read here over the decades, this title doesn't feel much like a position of honor.

With a November birthday, it'll be awfully late in 2024 before I hit 70. And if I'm the whole show until Dan S shows up, then there's no reason to rush it.
