I never picked up that second Trainspotting soundtrack CD, but always liked that they included "Golden Years", which was spotlighted in the book.

oh there were many of these hiphop/r+b instances. i was just posting about outkast's contribution to the nothing to lose album. "high school high" was always a big favorite for me and yeah: not a great film and one of those instances where it almost felt like the film was created to promote the soundtrack. with so much `90s revival` talk, how has the "bohemian rhapsody" cover not gotten a second life?
others in that style:the show pantherrhyme & reasonbad boys
...and so many more.

The Clueless soundtrack is mentioned several times ITT, but worth noting that it went platinum and had three(?) original singles… two of which were (good) covers of ‘70s/‘80s songs, and one of which was Jill Sobule’s “Supermodel.” I think the acoustic Radiohead song may also be exclusive, but not sure.Apparently the head of Capitol let them put No Doubt’s “Just a Girl” in the movie, but not on the soundtrack… that song, and the band, blew up a few months later.
