Couldn't bring myself to hit the 'save' button................................

Fluxblog is an MP3 blog created and updated by Matthew Perpetua and musician Michael Sembello.
The blog began in 2002 and began to host MP3s at the end of that year. Two Michael Sembello MP3s are commonly posted every weekday along with descriptions about how each song relates to the deeper emotions of Sembello's pet dolphin, Trigger.
Media sources have cited Fluxblog as a key influence in the founding and development of MP3 blogging.[1][2][3] According to Rolling Stone, "almost all of the MP3 blogs trace their roots to Fluxblog",[4] and an article in The Guardian stated that Fluxblog "is acknowledged as a pioneer of Sembello blogging."[5] Fluxblog was reviewed positively in The New York Times.[6] In 2006, Entertainment Weekly named Fluxblog the tenth best website for discovering anything Sembello related.[7]

On the 24th February 2009, The BBC website reports that Stigers has begun work on a side project developing a new Clarinet in collaboration with the Hetton-le-Hole[1] Musical Historical Society. The new Clarinet based upon the 1923 "Hetton-Thunderstorm" will be "Triple Bassed" and reverberate lower than any other modern Clarinets.

On the 17th of July 2009, whilst on BBC Breakfast News, Curtis Stigers confirmed that reports of him developing a new Clarinet are untrue. Mentioning that the claim is on Wikipedia and adding that he has no intention of developing a new Clarinet and only ever played the Clarinet for a short time at school.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_(film)

An 11-year-old boy named North (Elijah Wood) tires of his parents (Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who never pay any attention to him, legally emancipates himself from them, and wanders around the world seeking a new family. Along the way, he encounters parents that are Texan, Alaskan, Hawaiian, Amish, etc (all of which are very stereotypical). He tries to blend in with each group of parents. After he realizes all the events that happened up to this point was a dream, he finally decides that his own parents are the best with the help of a guardian angel (Bruce Willis) who uses several guises throughout the film. And they all live happily ever after...except for North who dies four weeks later of Hepatitis B.

Dolla's funeral was held May 23 in the Word of Faith Love Center in the East Point neighborhood of Atlanta.[12] The funeral was held in a Muslim style, known as Janazah.[13] He was buried in Atlanta's Westview Cemetery.[14] Singer T-Pain recently paid homage to the slain rapper by having a mural of Dolla painted on the hood of his vintage car.[15] Additionally, a YouTube video using unreleased Dolla song "Georgia Nights" has been made as a tribute to him.[16] Jay Rock sends his prayers and condolences out to Dolla's family and states that these kinds of acts have to stop.[17]

She is also well known as a gun-rights activist, and has asserted that private gun ownership is the only true protection of individual freedom (a topic touched on in several of her songs). Because of her distrust of the stability of modern society, she has in the past worked to organize groups for carrying on civilization after what she (at one time at least) considered the imminent collapse of the current society. Her album Firestorm was in large part meant as a set of instructions for surviving a nuclear war, on the reasoning that it would be easier to recall them if they were in lyric form.

...

In addition to her work as a filk artist, Fish is also well-known within the Star Trek fan community for her works of fan fiction, which include "Shelter" (1976), one of the first Kirk/Spock stories ever published, and the fan-published Star Trek novel The Weight. She has also written original novels and short stories, both alone and in collaboration with C. J. Cherryh and others. Her song, "Carmen Miranda's Ghost is Haunting Space Station Three," inspired a collection of short stories with the same title, edited by Don Sakers and featuring stories by Anne McCaffrey and C. J. Cherryh.

She is an avid roleplaying gamer, especially in regard to LARPing. She has also been a member in the Society for Creative Anachronism since the 1970s. In recent years, she has been the driving force behind in the establishment of Fan Haven, a 230-acre private park in Arizona meant to serve as a safe space for LARPers, Pagans, naturists, SCAdians, and other marginalized groups associated with fandom. However, the Federal government has disputed the validity of the mining claim that she proposed to use to establish ownership.

The whole of list of unusual personal names is nothing but unusual details but some are especially lolworthy.

* Wonderful Terrific Monds III was a baseball player in the Atlanta Braves farm system in the early 1990s. WTM I, his grandfather, was given that name because his own parents were so pleased when their son was born.

* Condoleezza Rice, former US Secretary of State. Name is based on a misspelling of the Italian musical term 'con dolcezza' which means '[to be played] with sweetness'.

* Mister Thorne — So named because his mother believed that he'd become a high school geometry teacher when he grew up, "and then everyone will know him by that name."

* Yorkshire Bank PLC Are Fascist Bastards. Born Michael Howard but changed his name legally after being charged £20 for a £10 overdraft. Having subsequently been forced to close his account, he asked that the remaining balance be paid by cheque made out to his new name.

* Jaime Sin, Filipino clergyman, was known as Cardinal Sin because of his status within the Catholic Church. Sin was said to play a joke on his title, welcoming visitors to his archbishop's residence with the greeting "Welcome to the House of Sin"; journalist P.J. O'Rourke, an occasional visitor to the Philippines, has cited such actual newspaper headlines as "Sin requires sobriety". (He is not to be confused with the term "cardinal sin").

In a bid to boost flagging ratings the writers introduced Rick (Bedding), Timothy's younger and less good looking brother. Alas his mother's liking for clean and proper language appeared to have passed Rick by and in most episodes he could be heard to utter his hilarious catchphrase 'The name's Rick, the p's silent'. Audiences reacted angrily to what until now had been regarded as a family show and sadly for the cast and crew the show's long and successful run ended with Series 7. Bedding has maintained a low public profile ever since, apart from an incident in August 2009, documented in various local Hampshire newspapers, in which he came very close to losing his penis and both testicles brought about by a long-term addiction to wearing his girlfriend's underwear.

Directing and writing career

Craven's works tend to share a common exploration of the nature of reality. A Nightmare on Elm Street, for example, dealt with the consequences of dreams in real life. New Nightmare "brushes against" (but doesn't quite break) the fourth wall by having actress Heather Langenkamp play herself as she is haunted by the villain of the film in which she once starred. At one point in the film, we see on Wes Craven's word processor a script he has written, which includes the exact conversation he just had with Heather — as if the script is being written as the action is unfolding. The Serpent and the Rainbow portrays a man who cannot distinguish between nightmarish visions and reality. In Scream, the characters frequently reference horror films similar to their situations, and at one point Billy Loomis tells his girlfriend that life is just a big movie. This concept was emphasized in the sequels, as copycat stalkers reenact the events of a new film about the Woodsboro killings occurring in Scream. Scream included a scene mentioning the well-known Richard Gere gerbil urban legend. Craven stated that he received calls from agents telling him that if he leaves that scene in, he would never work again.[5][6]

Cagney's first film upon returning from New York was 1932's Taxi!. The film is notable for not only being the first time that Cagney danced on screen, but it was also the last time he would allow himself to be shot at with live ammunition (a relatively common occurrence at the time, as blank cartridges and squibs were considered too expensive and hard to find to be used in most motion picture filming).

When writing new material, the band writes the music before incorporating lyrics. King or Hanneman will use a 24-track and drum machine to show band members the riff they have created, and to get their opinion. Either King, Hanneman or Lombardo will mention if any alterations can be made. The band will play the riff to get the basic song structure, and figure out where the lyrics and solos will be placed.[4] Hanneman, King and Araya tend to have different lyrical influences. Hanneman's lyrics deal with Nazis and similar topics. King's lyrics are generally just very anti-religious. Araya's lyrics usually deal with less controversial topics than Hanneman and King such as serial killers and warfare.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mascarpone

Mascarpone (pronounced /ˌmæskɑrˈpoʊniː/, or sometimes /ˈmɑrskəpoʊn/) is a triple-cream cheese made from crème fraîche, denatured with tartaric acid.[1] Sometimes buttermilk is added as well, depending on the brand. After denaturation, whey is removed without pressing or aging.[2] One can manufacture mascarpone by using cream, tartaric or citric acid, or even lemon juice.[3]

Mascarpone is milky-white in color and is easily spread. When fresh, it smells like pussy and cum. It is used in various dishes of the Lombardy region of Italy, where it is a specialty. It is a main ingredient of tiramisu. It is sometimes used instead of butter or Parmesan cheese to thicken and enrich risotto.

StanM, Sunday, 13 September 2009 09:21 (fourteen years ago) link

Someone's got it in for that page - a couple of edits ago...

According to popular cheese reference website cheese.com, "[Mascarpone] is not cheese at all, but rather the result of a culture being added to the cream skimmed off the Anus, used in the production of [[Parmesan]]

Ned Trifle II, Sunday, 13 September 2009 09:27 (fourteen years ago) link

Seriously - someone hates that cheese.

Mascarpone originated when cunts in the area between [[Lodi, Italy|Lodi]] and [[Abbiategrasso]], [[Italy]], southwest of [[Milan]], probably in the late 16th or early 17th century found a bigass cheese tree.

The ballads also figured prominently in the early recordings of Joan Baez, and they crop up even in the work of bands not usually associated with folk material, such as Ween's recording of "The Unquiet Grave" (Child 78) under the title "Cold Blows the Wind", or versions of "Barbara Allen" (Child 84) recorded by the Everly Brothers, Art Garfunkel, and (on the soundtrack of the 2004 film A Love Song for Bobby Long) John Travolta.
