finally caught up on that kiwi jr. album today. "the extra sees the film" is top tier songwriting

Kiwi jr. are great but their album last year seemed weak compared to the one before or especially, the debut.

It is my third-favorite Kiwi Jr. album, but still lots of good tunes.

I need to spend more time with this. I’d been slightly underwhelmed with Ezra’s work post-Transangelic Exodus, but the 2022 album sounded like a potential rebound when I listened to it,

only had death's dynamic shroud place out of my top 25 votes
was to be expected i guess, altho you do hold out some hope for yor #1 - so credit to the other two votes for niineta

i don't really feel happy with it as a representative ballot, i was kind out of listening to music in 2022 and i know i missed a ton of good stuff, especially good stuff outside of my immediate wheelhouse. but i wanted to throw some points to the albums i did hear and enjoy

i kind of hate it when people are like "i was surprised ____ didn't place!" bc it's always something that's obvious to me why it didn't place (usually it's some weird niche album) but if i had one of those it was the aldous harding album. i thought she was reasonably popular and that that album was well-liked

yeah I was a little surprised by that too, but I think the response on her thread was a little cooler than her previous album. I personally warmed up to it and now like it just as much as Designer

actually, i would've put the beths somewhere in the lower half of my ballot. it's absurd to correct a hypothetical ballot, but they're just so good and so sweet, 2 AM aches in such a relatable way
