i tried to watch the second half of celtics/raps on League Pass the next day and they only had the "mobile view" of the entire game?? which afaict is just very zoomed in so you can only see the area around the ballhandler? amazing how shit the NBA app is. on PS4 the "no spoilers" setting RESETS every time you start the app so i have to peek through my fingers, scroll down to settings, change it again, then look at the game. However that setting doesn't affect the main splash story on the homepage of the app, which carries some big headline like "JA ERUPTS IN KEY WIN" which, of course, is a spoiler. you might say, well, hey, what do you want, but this is the NBA's direct access to paying fans - you'd think they'd pay attention to the experience a little bit more

yeah, nba apps across platforms have never been good in my experience. the league doesn't really seem to care about making them better

youtubetv is their tv service you pay money and get basically all the channels youd get if you had cable or satellite or whatever then u can give them another hundred and get league pass on top of that, so for usa viewers is solves the league pass blackout problem since youre getting all the national and local games via the base service

to add to lagoon you also get unlimited recording and you can turn off features that show scores or show previews. its also got a feature where you can just catch up to a game or watch a recap through watching "key plays".

thats bad was the same with nuggets games in co, tho tbf you could could barely watch them anywhere at the time, not sure if thats improved

the roku league pass app has really been shit this year, often can't get streams of games to work

league pass has been bad universally from what i've seen on twitter. i use it just thru my web browser (nearly unusable) and my phone (better) and both are noticeably worse experiences than previous seasons

sometimes it gives you “all possessions” which is nice, but you never know when

i pay for the version that only lets me watch one team (the heat) and yet whenever i pull up one of their road games it always brings me to the other team's broadcast which necessitates me toggling the broadcast and reloading again. just basic functional stuff like that where you're like, was this designed to be bad on purpose?

pretty funny that reddish was getting no burn on the hawks so the knicks were just all we will give you first for this guy

i can't remember a situation like this where a team traded a first for a player in what was seen as talent acquisition and not a salary dump of some sort and then turn around and dramatically reduce the player's minutes immediately upon getting him when the reason he was traded in the first place was over playing time. it's really mind boggling
