Oh wouldn't it be rubbery? (Tom D.), Saturday, 26 November 2022 12:50 (one year ago) link

Against the fart of play

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:40 (one year ago) link

Lol they're really checking this for a pen?

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:43 (one year ago) link

That was a complete dive

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:44 (one year ago) link

What a joke. Pen

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:45 (one year ago) link

Complete fucking dive

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:45 (one year ago) link

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:47 (one year ago) link

Ten minutes stoppage in first half

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:49 (one year ago) link

Polish keeper knows that was no penalty

Guayaquil (eephus!), Saturday, 26 November 2022 13:49 (one year ago) link

I hate watching Poland, so stodgy and predictable.

Oh wouldn't it be rubbery? (Tom D.), Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:00 (one year ago) link

This is unbelievable…

Watch @J_Klinsmann dismiss brown athletes, from Iran to Guatemala, repeatedly saying “this is their culture”, while the host and other guests are sitting there listening to him go on and on, live on @BBCSport.pic.twitter.com/RgOR3b1sr0

— Negar Mortazavi نگار مرتضوی (@NegarMortazavi) November 26, 2022

Again have to agree with this, though I quite like JK.

the pinefox, Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:24 (one year ago) link

If Poland win what a pressure-cooker ARGMEX should be. So stoked for that.

nashwan, Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:33 (one year ago) link

This is also a better game now.

nashwan, Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:35 (one year ago) link

Entertaining game this

groovypanda, Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:35 (one year ago) link

Lewandowski scores at last!

Oh wouldn't it be rubbery? (Tom D.), Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:47 (one year ago) link

LOLdi Arabia

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:47 (one year ago) link

Oh dear..

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:48 (one year ago) link

The only way Robert could score with his mediocre teammates leaving him cold

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:48 (one year ago) link

Lol @ Lewandowski crying on the floor after scoring that

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:49 (one year ago) link

Wonder if the defender will still get his Rolls after that..

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:53 (one year ago) link

Lol muffed that one

Fash Gordon (Neanderthal), Saturday, 26 November 2022 14:55 (one year ago) link

0-0 huh..

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 17:10 (one year ago) link

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 17:20 (one year ago) link

Not so good: 1-1

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 17:27 (one year ago) link

Kylian killin' em

nashwan, Saturday, 26 November 2022 17:46 (one year ago) link

Credit to FRA. DEN looked dangerous at moments, it could have gone the other way. But unless DEN can beat AUS they are going home.

the pinefox, Saturday, 26 November 2022 18:22 (one year ago) link

AUS-DEN will come down to which side can show the greater sense, or perhaps even sensibility

imago, Saturday, 26 November 2022 18:29 (one year ago) link

Argentina not really impressing so far, wouldn't be surprised if Mexico score.

link.exposing.politically (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Saturday, 26 November 2022 19:19 (one year ago) link

Fingers crossed, it would be hilarious if the pre-tournament favourites went out.

Oh wouldn't it be rubbery? (Tom D.), Saturday, 26 November 2022 19:25 (one year ago) link

If Arg draw and beat Poland they meet France.

France aren't as good as 2018 to me. It will probably be good enough to beat Argentina. Unless they improve.

If they improve now surely they beat Mex.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 19:41 (one year ago) link

Argentina have scrapped their way into the game but look well short of form still

this display name blocked by FIFA (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 26 November 2022 19:51 (one year ago) link

I was under the impression Brazil and France were the favourites

Argentina are shockingly poor though

Number None, Saturday, 26 November 2022 19:54 (one year ago) link

Couple of really nasty tackles in the first half, wonder if Roy Keane has any funny comments to make about those.

link.exposing.politically (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:07 (one year ago) link

A lot better and now a goal!

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:24 (one year ago) link

wowow

nashwan, Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:25 (one year ago) link

Mexico totally toothless tbh.

Oh wouldn't it be rubbery? (Tom D.), Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:26 (one year ago) link

Yeah he's still got it (sometimes)

Just parked my car. What’d I miss?

👍

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:47 (one year ago) link

Fantastic goal

link.exposing.politically (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:49 (one year ago) link

Awesome sauce, boss!

The Dark End of the Tweet (James Redd and the Blecchs), Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:51 (one year ago) link

Guess I must have parked in my lucky spot.

The Dark End of the Tweet (James Redd and the Blecchs), Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:52 (one year ago) link

2-0 is a very flattering scoreline but the goals were great at least. Going to be some tense final games in this group.

link.exposing.politically (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:58 (one year ago) link

Mexico totally toothless tbh.

Almost never seen them be any good in WCs

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 20:59 (one year ago) link

Arg dominated that 2nd half. 2-0 is about right. Can see them taking out Poland no problem.

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 21:00 (one year ago) link

AUS-DEN will come down to which side can show the greater sense, or perhaps even sensibility

― imago, Saturday, November 26, 2022

Underrated post.

the pinefox, Saturday, 26 November 2022 21:11 (one year ago) link

The play’s the thing

The Dark End of the Tweet (James Redd and the Blecchs), Saturday, 26 November 2022 21:16 (one year ago) link

Gary Neville talked about players not fearing Messi is getting the laughs. Other good one was how apparently you could exchange the English and Argies and no one would notice!

xyzzzz__, Saturday, 26 November 2022 21:32 (one year ago) link

I would like them to meet. Probably the only chance left for an England side to face Messi.

nashwan, Saturday, 26 November 2022 22:07 (one year ago) link

Neville and even Keane were very confident at HT about how poor ARG were.

Then at FT didn't really refer to this fact.

Impressed by Joe Cole saying that Messi's movement was "counter-intuitive".

Sorry for MEX, who have never gone beyond a WC QF if that.
