I am really fascinated by how people get and stay in Wikipedia.

For example really unimportant baseball players can get in just for being the majors even for only 1 year, even if only 1% of baseball fans know who they are

Wikipedia is supposed to be organically crowd-sourced, but I remember a few years ago my company hired a 'consultant' to burnish our CEO's wikipedia entry, and to monitor it for anything that wasn't glowingly positive

Pages get removed for lacking notability all the time though.

I got the SexArt page changed to a mere redirect to Korn's page

Easy to get a page up, not always easy to keep up

exactly, the wikipedia monks are ferocious and seem to delight in removing things

Preston Sturges's son is very confident in himself, I'm guessing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_and_Deane

The duo performs as caricatures of themselves and consists of Jonathan Frank (lead vocals, guitar, and all other instruments) and Josh Deane (lead vocals, guitar, and all other instruments), and it's been said that it's never quite clear where reality ends and fiction begins. Their music, which Colorado Parent described as "reminiscent of the Beach Boys" is a unique blend of rock, pop, acoustic guitars, tight harmonies, and catchy melodies. Often compared to Pixar because of their content, quality, and presentation, FRANK & DEANE's various works (music, art, videos, shows, and more) are intended to be "enjoyed by a broad audience of every generation of kids, parents, and grandparents." They have devoted fans of all ages.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyphen_Hyphen

Hyphen Hyphen is a French electropop band from Nice. Santa sings in English with Line and Adam. Their albums — Times, HH, and C'est La Vie — hyphenate Europe and North America in international tour."

I already thought "sings in English with Line and Adam" was weird, but "their albums hyphenate europe," really now.
