Lol Rodgers is such a prick

Also speaking of weirdo QBs

Russell Wilson worked out and stretched for four of the eight hours on the flight from Denver to London. Said he was doing high knees in the aisle when the rest of the guys were asleep.

I always suspected it was probably more right than wrong but man Rodgers' recent attitude really confirms a lot of what was written in that SI article about how the Mike McCarthy-era team fell apart. I can't think of another MVP-caliber player who just openly shits on his teammates like that. Did Michael Jordan even talk that way?

frogbs, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:05 (one year ago) link

funny how mike mccarthy and pete carroll are both having great years away from their weirdo QBs

symsymsym, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:07 (one year ago) link

amazing the 32-year old Geno Smith has, somehow, become a top 5 QB statistically this year. he has the highest completion percentage in the whole league! dunno if that says more about him or the rest of the league though.

frogbs, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:14 (one year ago) link

Jordan was like this when he was the owner of the Wizards and playing simultaneously.

Rodgers needs to look at himself. Certainly the lack of receiver quality and drops don't help, not does weird play calling, but I've seen most Pack games this year and the phrase "what are you doing?" comes up a lot.

He looks like he honestly dngaf anymore

stank viola (Neanderthal), Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:18 (one year ago) link

I think he just wants to become a podcaster

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:20 (one year ago) link

i've read experts before who swore Geno Smith was a lot better than he'd been showing. Maybe he just needed a shot.

Jordan was a prick but he was more a motivational bully vs being a passive aggressive bastard.

omar little, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:23 (one year ago) link

feel like Jordan came at you in practice, not in the media? though but that might not be accurate

yea the nice thing about having Rodgers as your QB is you very rarely have to wonder that. this year though he's made a lot of baffling decisions where he's just thrown to no one in particular like he's Mark Sanchez or something. usually to pick him off you need a lucky bounce or for someone to fall down but this year he's just doing a lot of chucking. he is also missing receivers by like 5 yards on his deep throws. it's weird because this stuff used to be so automatic for him.

frogbs, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 17:59 (one year ago) link

i feel like brees and brady and manning have given us unrealistic expectations about qbs just magically performing at a super high level at 40 and beyond, i think aging is just catching up w/rodgers

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 27 October 2022 21:07 (one year ago) link

well, Manning was what, 39 in his final season? Brees, 40? and they both quickly became very bad. Rodgers is 38. hmmmm.......

frogbs, Thursday, 27 October 2022 21:10 (one year ago) link

wilson shot off 2500' cliff at 33, still plummeting. he will land on a pile of a quarter bil $ after a fall of approx 2.5 ft

i'm right back on my shit (Hunt3r), Thursday, 27 October 2022 22:30 (one year ago) link

peyton was MVP at 37 and absolute garbage at 39 (if not quite so bad that he could prevent them winning a super bowl). it happens fast

being able to evade/shrug off tacklers was a huge part of wilson's (and rofflesberger's, for that matter) game -- and something that's likely to disappear even more quickly than arm strength

roffles' entire last two seasons were just endless five-yard outs/slants. tbf part of that was due to his having poor receivers and a deeply terrible o-line -- i understand rodgers is having the same issue, at least with the former -- but most of it was his due to his immobility

mookieproof, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:02 (one year ago) link

Manning was so garbage in 2015 in ways that would have been bad in any earlier era, but in the era when anyone with a throwing arm and a teammate with hands could have 20-10 TD-INT numbers, that 9-17 line looks historically awful.

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:11 (one year ago) link

Crazy thing about Brady of course is he’s looking washed but still not doing *bad*

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:12 (one year ago) link

brady honestly doesn't look that bad to me. it's just hard to compete with zero mobility in today's nfl.

his numbers also look way better if mike evans doesn't drop a 75 yard td last week

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:19 (one year ago) link

all of his receivers are finally healthy and he gets to face the ravens' atrocious pass d this weekend...

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:21 (one year ago) link

*tonight, not this weekend lol

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:21 (one year ago) link

I’m convinced it’s more a team thing than a Brady thing, he just doesn’t look like mr 45 TD anymore, which is to say washed compared to his prior peaks, but many thought he was done a decade ago so who knows?

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:29 (one year ago) link

Oh well I guess I didn’t actually see he’s projected for 4700 yds and a 19/2 TD/INT ratio so he’s better than I thought this year. Curious to see about tonight yeah.

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:31 (one year ago) link

the 3-4 Falcons are now first place in the NFC South

frogbs, Friday, 28 October 2022 03:28 (one year ago) link

probably not brady's fault that the bucs had 44 rushing yards and the ravens had 231

mookieproof, Friday, 28 October 2022 03:56 (one year ago) link

ditto for Rodgers, he's not quite as elusive but he might be the best QB of all time at throwing on the run and making the right pass with a millisecond to spare. he's not really hitting those anymore and he also has this careerlong problem of fumbling a lot when he gets hit

frogbs, Friday, 28 October 2022 04:00 (one year ago) link

just so much of it relies on the offensive line

the difference between having x seconds and y seconds to throw is the difference between a journeyman and a pro bowler

Brady filing for divorce today. rough week for him

frogbs, Friday, 28 October 2022 14:36 (one year ago) link

an article i read about brady admitting that bc of football he hadn't been around for christmas/thanksgiving for twenty plus years, missed funerals, family events, etc...i mean it sounds absolutely miserable to me. went back to the table to gamble one time too many i guess.

omar little, Friday, 28 October 2022 17:26 (one year ago) link

all because he didn't want to get scooped on his own retirement announcement by adam schefter lol

going out sad

Spottie, Friday, 28 October 2022 17:37 (one year ago) link

Gronk, Arians gone as well...he's just a lonely guy thinkin bout things playing out a final stretch on a crappy Tampa team. it's like the end of The Irishman.

frogbs, Sunday, 30 October 2022 22:38 (one year ago) link

I figure with TB12's current situation, he probably will continue playing even after this year in an attempt to change his fortunes. Dude looks weird though to me, I think he's using alot of botox or something.

I have to think like Dorian Gray there is some first year Fathead of TB12 that is slowly aging in some lost bedroom in New England and this week a tear was going down it's cheek.

TB12 and ARodg are going through these dad divorcee/single at 40 doldrums and the Manning brothers are eating cheeseburgers with Bill Murray and hosting game shows and getting paid to watch games in their man caves. Who's a winner now boyos?

earlnash, Monday, 31 October 2022 00:39 (one year ago) link

I don't trust anyone who says they don't eat tomatoes. If you are allergic or something I get it, but c'mon man.

earlnash, Monday, 31 October 2022 00:41 (one year ago) link

yeah I've probably said this before but if you compare young Brady to current Brady my brain don't even recognize it as the same person. anyway Rodgers lookin slow as hell today.

frogbs, Monday, 31 October 2022 02:02 (one year ago) link

ye gods there's 2 minutes left in the 3rd and Rodgers has only 71 yards

frogbs, Monday, 31 October 2022 02:27 (one year ago) link

Geno Smith is just an amazing story this season

Chubb (we got)

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 19:51 (one year ago) link

(not Nick, Bradley, an edge rusher that will help immensely, for draft picks and our backup RB. then we traded to get a replacement backup RB, Jeff Wilson from San Fran, reuniting him with McDaniel. he also has 468 yards on the year and will make a good compliment to Mostert).

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 19:52 (one year ago) link

funniest part is broncos were desperate for a 1st rounder for chubb. they get niners first rounder “congrats!” lol

i'm right back on my shit (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 20:07 (one year ago) link

sounds like they just replaced Chubb w/ a trade with the Jets (for someone I am guessing is cheaper/not in contract year)

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 20:08 (one year ago) link

yup, i’m pretty jets ignorant among my other ignorances so ?

i'm right back on my shit (Hunt3r), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 20:16 (one year ago) link

lol @ the Packers not doing a damn thing

frogbs, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 20:21 (one year ago) link

jets traded jacob martin to clear a logjam on the d-line. they have a deep group, no one outstanding rusher. maybe carl lawson will become that guy as his achilles heals

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 20:40 (one year ago) link

Rodgers just threw his 3rd pick against the 1-6 Lions. Packers still sitting on 0 points halfway through the 3rd
