erryk was aegon's personal protector and grew so disgusted with the idea of him becoming king that he defected. arryk was all like "is rhaenyra that much better?" and "we swore an oath!"

I predicted next year, 2024. for the new book awhile back, but I've given up hope on that front.

"75% done" does not mean that the remaining 25% will take the amount of time that is implied by the previous 75%.
