Browns shafted on phantom false start that was actually offside on the Ravens

stank viola (Neanderthal), Sunday, 23 October 2022 19:51 (one year ago) link

tom brady blew up his marriage for the opportunity to lose to teams like the steelers and panthers

mookieproof, Sunday, 23 October 2022 20:09 (one year ago) link

While I'm happy with it, I consider the Vikings' 5-1 record a bit of a mirage, overall this has gotta be the worst the NFC North has been top to bottom in years

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 23 October 2022 20:40 (one year ago) link

seem to be very few convincingly good teams. bills, chieves, eagles?

there are only 12 teams with a positive point differential

mookieproof, Sunday, 23 October 2022 20:48 (one year ago) link

Those three seem apart from the rest, though it's getting hard to ignore the Giants

Looool sorry not sorry Packer fans, but that was the best final 5 seconds of a game I’ve seen since the Minneapolis Miracle.

Three Rings for the Elven Bishop (Dan Peterson), Sunday, 23 October 2022 20:53 (one year ago) link

ok for a split second there I thought they actually might pull it off

first game for the Packers since 1999 in which they did not convert a single 3rd down

Maholmes just carved up the Niners secondary.

Burrow played awesome today against ATL but the Bengal's O-line is still letting him get hit too much.

was wondering "why do they keep showing that dorky lookin fella on TV" and it turns out he's Miami's coach

frogbs, Monday, 24 October 2022 02:02 (one year ago) link

wow scoreless second half. wonder how often that's happened

frogbs, Monday, 24 October 2022 03:24 (one year ago) link

Not in a while.

I am happy we won but fuck, Fins hit a wall offensively after the hot start. Soft schedule coming up but this wasn't the positive sign I was hoping for

Trying to find his next Brady

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 25 October 2022 01:28 (one year ago) link

I love how everyone has already started suggesting trades for Jones now as if Bill isn't merely using this to motivate Mac into earning back his job

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 25 October 2022 01:39 (one year ago) link

Lol he just fumbled

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 25 October 2022 01:41 (one year ago) link

Twitterverse already giving up on Zappe after anointing him the new Brady twenty minutes ago.

Idk maybe quit trying to read the tea leaves after every fucking drive

you mean they Bailey'd

How did this Patriot team win 3 games

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 25 October 2022 02:38 (one year ago) link

maybe checking down and running while down 19 isn't the best strategy

lol Zappe-rception

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 25 October 2022 02:53 (one year ago) link

Zappe fever officially dead. no idea what he was doing on that throw.

stank viola (Neanderthal), Tuesday, 25 October 2022 03:05 (one year ago) link

this does make me a lil nervous for when we play the Bears in a few weeks, their defense was sick tonight

Aaron Rodgers says on @PatMcAfeeShow that the Packers are routinely making double-digit mental errors in games this season when, in past seasons, that number was, at most, seven.

"Guys who are making too many mistakes shouldn't be playing. Gotta start cutting some reps."

— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) October 25, 2022

this feels like something you shouldn't say publicly

Also speaking of weirdo QBs

Russell Wilson worked out and stretched for four of the eight hours on the flight from Denver to London. Said he was doing high knees in the aisle when the rest of the guys were asleep.

I always suspected it was probably more right than wrong but man Rodgers' recent attitude really confirms a lot of what was written in that SI article about how the Mike McCarthy-era team fell apart. I can't think of another MVP-caliber player who just openly shits on his teammates like that. Did Michael Jordan even talk that way?

frogbs, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:05 (one year ago) link

funny how mike mccarthy and pete carroll are both having great years away from their weirdo QBs

symsymsym, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:07 (one year ago) link

amazing the 32-year old Geno Smith has, somehow, become a top 5 QB statistically this year. he has the highest completion percentage in the whole league! dunno if that says more about him or the rest of the league though.

frogbs, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:14 (one year ago) link

Jordan was like this when he was the owner of the Wizards and playing simultaneously.

Rodgers needs to look at himself. Certainly the lack of receiver quality and drops don't help, not does weird play calling, but I've seen most Pack games this year and the phrase "what are you doing?" comes up a lot.

He looks like he honestly dngaf anymore

stank viola (Neanderthal), Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:18 (one year ago) link

I think he just wants to become a podcaster

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:20 (one year ago) link

i've read experts before who swore Geno Smith was a lot better than he'd been showing. Maybe he just needed a shot.

Jordan was a prick but he was more a motivational bully vs being a passive aggressive bastard.

omar little, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:23 (one year ago) link

feel like Jordan came at you in practice, not in the media? though but that might not be accurate

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Wednesday, 26 October 2022 16:53 (one year ago) link

yea the nice thing about having Rodgers as your QB is you very rarely have to wonder that. this year though he's made a lot of baffling decisions where he's just thrown to no one in particular like he's Mark Sanchez or something. usually to pick him off you need a lucky bounce or for someone to fall down but this year he's just doing a lot of chucking. he is also missing receivers by like 5 yards on his deep throws. it's weird because this stuff used to be so automatic for him.

frogbs, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 17:59 (one year ago) link

i feel like brees and brady and manning have given us unrealistic expectations about qbs just magically performing at a super high level at 40 and beyond, i think aging is just catching up w/rodgers

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 27 October 2022 21:07 (one year ago) link

well, Manning was what, 39 in his final season? Brees, 40? and they both quickly became very bad. Rodgers is 38. hmmmm.......

frogbs, Thursday, 27 October 2022 21:10 (one year ago) link

wilson shot off 2500' cliff at 33, still plummeting. he will land on a pile of a quarter bil $ after a fall of approx 2.5 ft

i'm right back on my shit (Hunt3r), Thursday, 27 October 2022 22:30 (one year ago) link

peyton was MVP at 37 and absolute garbage at 39 (if not quite so bad that he could prevent them winning a super bowl). it happens fast

being able to evade/shrug off tacklers was a huge part of wilson's (and rofflesberger's, for that matter) game -- and something that's likely to disappear even more quickly than arm strength

roffles' entire last two seasons were just endless five-yard outs/slants. tbf part of that was due to his having poor receivers and a deeply terrible o-line -- i understand rodgers is having the same issue, at least with the former -- but most of it was his due to his immobility

mookieproof, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:02 (one year ago) link

Manning was so garbage in 2015 in ways that would have been bad in any earlier era, but in the era when anyone with a throwing arm and a teammate with hands could have 20-10 TD-INT numbers, that 9-17 line looks historically awful.

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:11 (one year ago) link

Crazy thing about Brady of course is he’s looking washed but still not doing *bad*

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:12 (one year ago) link

brady honestly doesn't look that bad to me. it's just hard to compete with zero mobility in today's nfl.

his numbers also look way better if mike evans doesn't drop a 75 yard td last week

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:19 (one year ago) link

all of his receivers are finally healthy and he gets to face the ravens' atrocious pass d this weekend...

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:21 (one year ago) link

*tonight, not this weekend lol

comedy khadafi (voodoo chili), Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:21 (one year ago) link

I’m convinced it’s more a team thing than a Brady thing, he just doesn’t look like mr 45 TD anymore, which is to say washed compared to his prior peaks, but many thought he was done a decade ago so who knows?

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:29 (one year ago) link

Oh well I guess I didn’t actually see he’s projected for 4700 yds and a 19/2 TD/INT ratio so he’s better than I thought this year. Curious to see about tonight yeah.

omar little, Thursday, 27 October 2022 23:31 (one year ago) link
