It's not like it used to be in the late 80s, early 90s but a lot of that stuff is remnants of the 5 percenters

I was ignoring the news about West per standard practice, but even people I know who never talk about him were outraged so I had to look. I wasn't even aware of some of the older stuff he did (spurring others to send death threats to his ex-wife and Peter Davidson, etc). It's unbelievable, you think he's sunk as low as possible and he finds some cartoonish way to be even worse.

(To clarify I was aware he was going through a bad divorce, but not to that extent.)

(I shouldn't even say "going through" when he's instigating so much of the horrendous parts of it.)

it really sucks with Kanye because I do think there was a time where even though he was definitely weird and occasionally o_O, race played a factor in a lot of the heat he got (like there was no white equivalent that got clowned like he did for largely innocuous things back in 2010-2011, not to mention the pearl clutching about "George Bush doesn't care about Black people", still an all-time moment), but within the next five years, he began saying/doing things I couldn't defend any more, and now he's an outright far-right fascist. like how is this the guy that did College Dropout?
