it’s hard to say if it was a sucker punch without knowing what he said. draymond was in front of him so it’s not a classic sucker punch per se but if what poole said was fairly innocuous then maybe it rises to that level. but there are some things you can say to someone and if they punch you it’s kinda on you

Green must be going through something. It’s the only thing that makes sense. He has too much at stake to lose control now, and this isn’t the heat of the playoffs where he is required to be on edge. What’s more, he has been a model teammate and leader since the team reunited — which was a bit surprising considering he didn’t get the extension he wanted. He seemed up for the task of proving his worth and defending the title despite the disappointment of not getting the contract he believes he deserves.

feel like this could be about trying to be a good citizen and suppress his resentment at not getting the extension then poole started talking about it and he snapped

hes an extremely expressive person its not in his nature to bottle things up like that

it does seem like that's what it is but it's a tough look when you've already made $155 million dollars playing basketball and you're begrudging your young teammate's first big contract.
