Re-listening to this, I was really appreciating the dedication to the concept - in each song, he really goes out of his way to insert "my dick" into as many lyrics as possible. E.g. he could just sing "Would my dick be the same, if you saw it in heaven," but instead he sings "Would my dick be the same, if you saw my dick in heaven." That's craft.

I think there's also a curatorial aspect involved, like, not every popular song works well as a My Dick song. I think the RHCP one definitely fits with the My Dick oeuvre, whereas some of the other ones ilxors have attempted, aren't really My Dick material, y'know?

I love that a decade later we don't have to sort thru ten or more volumes of my dick, easy as that would have been, this is pure artistry, no guilding of lillys or legs on snakes, just my dick and that is plenty

Worthwhile or not, writing one's own can be a lot of fun. And really the challenge is knowing where to include my dick and when to leave my dick out of it
