Happy 4-0 to New Gold Dream. I got my copy signed by Herbie Hancock recently. He spent quite some time examining the back cover but - no, he simply could not remember the session or playing the beautiful solo on Hunter and The Hunted. Hancock appeared on Heatwave’s 1982 album ‘Current’, as did Mel Gaynor so wonder if the connection was made there.

i always used to joke when i worked at tower that i'd like to get herbie to sign my copy of that album. very cool that someone went and actually did it and herbie was receptive to it!
