And "Glasgow" might be the second best single of the year. But "Greatest Hits" in particular should be huger - feels like some St Etienne b-side as is. Was hoping for more orchestral bangers in general tbh.

I like it, it's cool, they have a lot of ideas. I'll have to listen some more to see how many of the songs really stick, but I like their vibe.

I dunno, I've given it another spin and I think ufo is otm. It's just not grabbing me, despite the kitchen sink approach they've skillfully applied.

I really like it.

Saint Etienne was the first band that came to my mind listening to “Greatest Hits”. I wish more songs had that approach in here, that one is the clear highlight for me. Still a very solid debut.

Yeah well, if I wasn't already a huge fan (I am), that wouldn't have convinced me.
Georgia's violin is perfectly suited for the song, but her voice doesn't quite cut it, and for some reason she sings the chorus melody up a fourth?

Yeah, I mainly posted it because I was surprised I liked the arrangement.

This kind of breathy singing style is not my favorite in general but sometimes I can put up with it (like on some Magdalena Bay songs) and sometimes not.

The violin sounds great, I think her voice works too tbh. Only thing that I’m not feeling and it’s too distracting are the drums. The rest of the arrangement is very delicate and those drums sound like someone moving furniture around while they were recording.
