The Rehearsal is... fake. It's fake, okay? And people have been saying, "Oh sir, it's not real." And it's a terrible thing. And we're going to do something about that, aren't we?

"And ... look, the name of the tournament is called Kumite, but the name of the arena ... well, if it was up to me, in my opinion it should have been Trump Arena, we offered them a very good deal to call it Trump, but they didn't want Trump, which was a mistake, in my opinion, the tournament would have been a lot more successful, a lot less underground. Frankly, many, many more people would have heard of it. Instead, people are saying it was a failure, the Kumite tournament. Should have been Pay-per-view, they begged me to reconsider. But that's OK, it was their choice to turn down all that money. It's a freestyle fight, kumite, menaing almost anything goes. Well, a lot of people don't know this, but the word 'kumite' has its roots in Japanese, where it, where it translates roughly to mean 'grappling hands.' And frankly there is a lot of grappling in this movie, maybe too much grappling. But "kumite" ... Jean Claude Van Damme is a man of honor, so yes, he is literally grappling with his enemies, but he is also grappling metaphorically, to choose to do the right thing, to win - and this is important - to win with honor. The Kumite becomes not about the death touch, not about love - though the woman, the woman is very beautiful, the most beautiful - it is about grappling with the morality of vengeance and emerging victorious not by beating his enemy Chong Li - a cheater - but by finally turning himself in to Helmer and Rawlins and restoring his honor."

"By 2019, tensions between the two men and their worldviews burst into the open. After disputes between the two leaders over Iran, Syria, and NATO, Trump could be heard blasting Macron as a “pain in the ass” to a White House gathering of international ambassadors to the United Nations. Trump’s former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham also wrote in a memoir that Trump had privately called Macron a “a wuss guy” and “a hundred twenty pounds of fury.”"

I don't see any emails there=innocent!
Seriously, though, there are people that have gone to jail for a fraction of the infractions displayed here.
Trump's incompetence is legendary, and the fact that people again and again keep sacrificing themselves at his throne of stupidity boggles the mind. The body count of people tainted (or convicted) for covering up for him, for enabling him, is higher than that pile of burgers when he invited that sports team to the White House.
Some people are already mocking, saying, oh, Time magazine, soooo classified, but that's the whole point. He had all this important classified stuff mixed in with his personal shit. Reportedly he had highly classified stuff in his desk with his passports, which further underscores chain of custody. Reportedly the DOJ has evidence that Trump Inc. *moved* classified documents in response to the subpoena, no doubt because perpetually entitled, consequence-free Trump insisted on grabbing what he could and no one could or would stop him. It just blows the mind the extent to which Trump and his team just so brazenly blew off the DOJ. You'd think *someone* there would have recognized the extent of the criminality, and hey, maybe someone did, because clearly someone ultimately ratted him out.

Not a dismissal, she is apparently considering granting Trump's motion for a special master (and thereby halting DOJ's review of the documents pending the special master's review). It's a grotesquerie.

Reminder
Leaving aside how far Judge Cannon is going to accommodate Trump, it’s not like appointing a special master changes anything about Trump’s potential liability or the legitimacy of DOJ’s search. It’s about the possible return of *some* of the seized materials — and nothing more. https://t.co/MrWQdacvfi— Steve Vladeck (@steve_vladeck) August 27, 2022
