Barbosa in his prime one of the fastest guards ever, nice to see lots of representation from the Nash-era suns. Did he get a lot of minutes on that warriors run?

Well done m bise! Great write-ups and pics, the Diaw esp an all time classic.

I missed the tiebreaker and would’ve gone hard for crazy eyes kurt but doesn’t look like that would’ve put him over the edge anyway. Scola was great but wish we’d gotten 5 more (earlier) years of him in the NBA.

barbosa was like a 15 minutes a game guy in the regular season and a bit less in the offs. that '14-'15 warriors team had such good perimeter depth they could bring iggy, shaun livingston, AND barbosa off the bench.

Eccojams Vol. 1 pioneered the vaporware subgenre

lol, a renaissance hooper. i don't really remember chuck, but it seems like he was sort of a pioneer as a high-ish 3pt volume role player? on the spurs in the mid '90s he was taking 5 or 6 a game, which doesn't sound like that many now, but was top 10 in the league those years. also getting hurt and not playing in '96-'97 must have helped out with the timmy tank.

96-97 spurs were built to contend until drob missed all but 6 games, chuck out for the year, sean elliott missed half the season. down extremely bad.

chuck's sa peak was as the 6th man on the 62-win 94-95 spurs, that team could cook with aj-vinny-sean-rodman-robinson as the starting 5. olajuwon owning david and robert horry coming to town is what cost em that year.

excellent class. diaw on the upper tier of role players imo.

"Boris walks into the gym one day wearing flip-flops and holding his customary cappuccino, which was a staple for him every morning," Griffin recalled. "It was during pre-draft workouts, so he sees the Vertec machine and asks what it is.

"We tell him it measures your vertical leap by determining how many of the bars you can touch. He asks what's the highest anyone has ever gone, and we tell him Amare' Stoudemire cleared the entire rack.

"Boris puts down the cappuccino, takes off his flip-flops and clears the entire rack on the first try. Then he calmly puts his flip-flops back on, picks up his cappuccino and walks away, saying, 'That was not difficult."

The three playoff teams that Chuck Person and Reggie Miller had in Indianapolis (89/90-91/92) were a pretty big deal in town, even though they were a .500 club.

Keep in mind, the Central was a really tough division at the time as you had the Bad Boy Pistons and the Jordan Bulls rising. Atlanta, Cleveland and Milwaukee were both pretty decent too.

Pacers got pretty screwed by the merger and were just freaking terrible for over a decade and this was the first time they had made the playoffs.

It also corresponds in city lore as downtown Indy really started to change and nightlife started to blossom down there.

They came really close in 90/91 to knocking off and upsetting the Celtics losing a 5 game series 3-2.

That's not correct actually, it was Person's rookie year in 86/87 that they first made the playoffs with Dr. Jack Ramsey as coach (and later color commentator for the Pacers).

These results really do not resemble my ballot at all but congrats to the inductees. :)
