Another good character actor down: Lenny Von Dohlen. Electric Dreams and Twin Peaks will dominate the credits but I thought his small but solid supporting role as the one guy from the band who track down Mac Sledge hit the notes of the film just right.

RIP. He’s in the arms of Morbius now.

Lol, pretty much every Larry Storch post in the archives is indeed by Morbius, usually to state that he was still alive.

Lenny Van Dohlen, who played Harold Smith on Twin Peaks, dead at 63.

I hate to say this, but I don't remember him from the show.

. . . to the point where I can't even spell his name. It's VON Dohlen. My apologies.

Lenny Von Dohlen

It's probably not a good movie - I found it, ahem, problematic the last time I saw it over a decade ago - but Electric Dreams was a VHS we wore through back when I was a kid. Unfuckwithable soundtrack, too.

Sorry, I missed it!

I watched that clip yesterday and it did not register at all! I watched that show religiously when it aired, but haven't really seen it since. It's largely evaporated from my mind.

His spirit must have flown right over me. Perhaps finally time to watch A BOY AND HIS DOG.

RIP, person I thought was already dead but reappeared in the last reel just as Bond was about to bunk down with his latest sweetie who then had to be quickly dispatched before Bond got back to business as the credits rolled while the theme song was reprised.

That's a loss. I didn't like a lot of the records he painted covers for, but he had an instantly recognizable style and absolutely expanded the parameters of metal imagery.

Jackson del Rey, from Savage Republic and who did much else in turn.

eeply saddened to learn of the passing of Philip Drucker aka Jackson Del Rey. As the only international signing to his label Trakwerx, he funded and released our first 5 albums, not to mention our first US tour. Without him, we simply would not still exist. Forever in your debt. pic.twitter.com/SiChylMPLe

George Kinney, of the pioneering Texas Psychedelic band The Golden Dawn

From FB:

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of George Kinney, on July 18, 2022. George was the driving force behind The Golden Dawn and a pioneer/founder of the 60’s Psychedelic Music movement. George was surrounded by family in love as he transitioned from this world to the next. He will be missed greatly.

As a singer, songwriter and guitarist, his musical legacy will live on through his albums, as well as in the mind, hearts and souls of countless young musicians he has influenced over the years. His talent will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this extremely difficult time.

We love you George. So very much. ❤️
