how many of the world's medium to big Western states in the top 6 richest list, with a huge arms industry need to be any safer? This danger needs executing.

I was reading a book the other day that was factually stating that "coolies"/farm labourers in late Victorian British India were on lower starvation rations than inmates in Buchenwald concentration camp. I fucking hate the UK and anyone who supports it's continued existence. But most of all I genuinely hope Kieth has a painful death and not one of them merciful die in your sleep deaths. Fuck anyone who votes for him as well!

calzino, Monday, 4 July 2022 22:38 (one year ago) link

it's a pretty amazing list of topics that people do not care about - the elusive Mr Redwall Swingvoter does not go to sleep worrying about unnecessary trade barriers or the NI Protocol, and nobody who does will ever vote Labour

he's still fixed on trying to win over that pizza shop guy who is going to vote tory no matter how much he degrades himself.

There’s some shocking genuine looking recent reviews on the Google results for twentymans pizza

Shocking service!
I thought I'd ignore whatever the private joke is on here and try it anyway.
Not a great deal of selection on the menu but some nice enough sounding pizzas.
We asked for a smaller pizza for our child to be told they don't have any small bases in. I'd expect fresh dough from a specialist pizza place. Never mind, we were hungry so we ordered 3 large from the normal menu.
An hour later our order had still had not gone in the oven! We paid for our drinks and left at this point.
In the hour we were there, a total of 10 pizzas came out of the kitchen. I could cook more that that in my home oven. Then again, I can also make fresh dough.

Osama bin Chinese (gyac), Monday, 4 July 2022 23:47 (one year ago) link

Food is good, but seen masala chips on menu board and just got chips that they poured chilli sauce onto, out of a bottle. Not impressed with that, very deceiving.

online reviews of shitty fast food joints is one of my fave genres!

I have spoken to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as Secretary of State for Health & Social Care.

It has been an enormous privilege to serve in this role, but I regret that I can no longer continue in good conscience. pic.twitter.com/d5RBFGPqXp

There never was a "Johnsonism" was there?

Mark G, Tuesday, 5 July 2022 17:41 (one year ago) link

Treasury source tells me that first @RishiSunak knew that @sajidjavid was resigning was AFTER he put out his own resignation statement. The claim is these resignations were not coordinated. Which makes them 1) more damaging for the prime minister and 2) raises possibility…

— Robert Peston (@Peston) July 5, 2022

OMG he’s so stupid

Osama bin Chinese (gyac), Tuesday, 5 July 2022 17:43 (one year ago) link

Most things that happen in UK politics are awful, but it is perhaps a little satisfying that the people who "saw off the threat of Corbynism" in a terrible election, helped by most MPs and many staff in the Labour party and most of the media, are seeing their own government collapse just over 2.5 years later.
