i guess i'll just allow "What's a Girl To Do" after all - my personal feeling is that it's a bit removed from the usual 'year of impact' cases (which are typically 'single for an album that came out the next year'/'released as a single the year after the album and became a hit') being a decade-old track that blew up in the club scene while not being totally unknown or anything before, but that isn't really a reason not to allow it if someone wants it under when there's nothing too firm in terms of rules around 'year of impact' and there's certainly an argument

Boys seemed to be a very unpopular winner and caused a bit of a Charli backlash on here. I really don't think it'll get anywhere near our top 100. I still love that one, but I'd put a couple of the other Charli tracks nominated above it.

I was surprised to be the first person to nominate Lana Del Rey's NFR considering it came second in our 2019 poll.

I'm also very interested to which albums/tracks fall in general. I'm going to go ahead and predict Big Boi isn't quite as popular as he was in 2010.

Would've laughed if 'Random Access Memories' had not been nominated.

Same! I keep thinking of amazing songs and albums that haven't been accounted for yet, but I'm already in trouble with what has been nominated so far. Especially when it comes to tracks. What a great decade.

I think it’s the weakest decade I’ve been alive for – or at least a decade in which I paid the least attention – which is what makes me interested in this poll! If we were doing this for, say, the 90s, I wouldn’t even participate; the idea of narrowing down thousands of great choices to 50 or so would be absurd
