lol I qualified for the English Vocab championship but took a look at the questions last night and was like "nope." Not the first time I have skipped a ML championship, though I do feel bad for whoever I beat out to get there, who might have actually wanted to play it.

Are others finding the questions harder so far? I'm on pace to post my worst ever TCA.

Hard last few matches for sure, by my standards

Got my 7th 9(6) yesterday, which happens rarely enough that I actually do a completely unironic first pump when I get one.

Smithing 1DS's is definitely a time consuming and pretty thankless process but it's one of my favorite things about LL. Not something I would do if I didn't find writing and tinkering with questions fun though.

Well, I submitted a MiniLeague proposal which is a decision that, if accepted, I'm sure I will come to regret. But it seems fun to try to work out the logistical challenges, at least once.

Oh, sorry about that. I didn’t play but it was a nice 1DS and a really good writeup.

One thing I don’t get is when people don’t do a recap. I think I remember one guy saying he was on vacation in the mountains or something while it was happening but other than something like that, there are various motivating factors to do the recap as soon as possible if possible.

Reason Zero is that is seems kind of chintzy when there is no recap.

Reason One is that in some ways that is the most fun part of the contest to write.
