51. Much the same trajectory as ZZ except I tried a few more plane and flight related words, then thought of the answer, then thought 'nah it can't be that'. luckily i tried it anyway.

I solved Semantle #103 in 33 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 30.46 (826/1000). My penultimate guess had a similarity of 59.36 (997/1000).

my 1st green was 'crew', followed by 'cabin' so it was a question of whether I focus on boats or planes. Went the right way.

53 today. Went into the top words because I wanted to see if there were any related to the meaning of the word indicating the corridor bit at the top of stairs. There were not, as far as I could see, which led me to question if that's even a thing in American English? Do you guys call it something else? I mean, obviously it could just be that it is a much 'lesser' meaning, but I am curious now.

yeah i was curious too, stairs is fairly high but not green.

Got #105 in 133 guesses. No hints, but did resort to a thesaurus, and probably wouldn't have got it otherwise. Eventually narrowed it down to something you wear on your head/face, was stuck on 995/1000 (sunglasses) for an age.

179 guesses -- no hints, no thesaurus -- i figured it was some sort of protective garment or term related to such things about 90 guesses in after getting in the green for "knee," "ankle" "wrist" and "shoulder" earlier on

238 guesses, up to 100 my only greens were carve and chisel, another 80 to luck into stab.

just firing words out of the thesaurus, hit stick and got to the target word straight from there.

i got #108 in 72 guesses! Very uncharacteristic! I had "meat" and "athletic" as the two closest guesses to the word -- #52 and #58 -- and I tried words that could be related to both of these

the more time i commit to redactle the worse i get at semantle. i tried every variation of "memory" i could think of because it was in the high colds.... could have solved it quickly if i'd remembered to guess antonyms but gave up and hinted myself to drunkard > drunk > forget > forgetful

weird one, my first green was forget but it was a low one so I tried the target word expecting to go a bit higher but not that much... bingo

Gave up today. Sounds like my experience is/was similar to a lot of you. I had a very early green which was high scoring - lazy, 4th guess, 979/1000, but it didn't help!

#113 in 75 guesses guess 9 was "art" in the green, and guess 16 was "skill" even higher; guessed things related to training/education, trades, and sports and all were cold
