Excellent movie, no comment on man’s performance

I mean, he is the lead. It's been 30 years, but I remember his performance as being creditable.

I seem to remember him not being terrible in The Usual Suspects.

Guy Pearce is not just good but very underrated (by the industry, which does not give him the size or quality of roles he deserves).

Hugo Weaving is a pretty bad actor. He would do better to embrace Willem Dafoe-ness than to keep on with the stiff-jaw bulging-eyes thing.

(His daughter Samara Weaving is much better than he is, but she's stuck in a "when you can't afford Margot Robbie" niche.)

Thanks for posting this.. I love his face and his voice and by all rights he should be incredible but he just drears up everything I see him in, most recently Hereditary, where he was outclassed by everyone even the children

I should rewatch Miller’s Crossing, I adore that film— Turturro just dominates in everything he appears and I may’ve just missed an excellent performance from Byrne
