Thanks y'all! I was obvs disappointed but the old saws are accurate: the buzzer speed is really the key, it feels different when you're up there, etc.

I guess I missed somewhere that Ken is the new permanent host, and Mayim will go back to handling the special primetime stuff.

Ken doing the next three months of regular Jeop, including Tournament of Champions, while Mayim does hour-long Celebrity Jeop tournament on Sunday nights; then Mayim scheduled to have another run on daily eps in or from January.

that really seemed like the direction they were going and - barring the shitshow - should have gone from the start: give fans Ken for the regular show and then give tourists Mayim.

It doesn’t seem to be a change per se (yet) - they’ve traded off since the shitshow as their schedules allowed; now there’s a block of primetime specials (a few days’ taping?) for Mayim to do as per her initial contract, so she won’t be on the nightly show until it’s over.

Presumably there was some major panic behind the scenes with the post-shit-shedu-show, and they will now have more time to find specials for Mayim going forward, so her regular episodes will be fewer…

It’d be fun to have Ken banter with the slebs, but definitely better to have him piloting the TO’C.
