saw this posted elsewhere, from the Temporal Drift Facebook page:

"We can now officially share the news that Temporal Drift will be reissuing "67-'69 Studio Et Live," "MIZUTANI / Les Rallizes Dénudés," and "'77 Live" by Les Rallizes Dénudés. Originally released on CD by Rivista Inc. in 1991, these are the only official albums released during the band's lifetime, other than 1973's OZ DAYS LIVE.
Pre-orders for the CD and LP will begin on 9/28. Our reissues will be available throughout the world, other than Japan and Asia.
We can also share that there will be a new 12" single made up of bonus tracks from the CDs.

77 Live is a fucking amazing record; I have a really good bootleg version with the title in French, but I will absolutely buy this new version if they've done anything noticeable about cleaning it up. Maybe the others, too.

I feel like they would have said remaster or remix if they did a lot of work on them, reissue feels like... not? Not 100% sure though

I've emailed the label to ask. If I get an answer I'll post it.

Yeah, Live 77 is the tear-your-face-off one. Mizutani is actually mostly acoustic(!), so that's probably what you're looking for. And 67-69 live obviously is gonna be more Sixties-sounding, too.

Thanks! I have CD copies of Mars Studio, Heaver Than A Death In the Family, and Blind Baby, but I seem to recall an LP (boot obviously) that was super jangley and droney and I loved it, but no idea what it was called

How much overlap is there between 77 Live and Heavier Than A Death In the Family?

5 of the 6 Heavier tracks are on 77 Live, where they also sound better + 77 Live has The Last One and 記憶は遠い ("Memory is Distant")
The only Heavier-exclusive track is "People Can Choose" (which is actually Field Of Artificial Flowers and a 1973 recording)

That sucks to see, but as someone who doesn’t have the 1991 CD, I’ll deal. It’s not like I turn to LRD for a fine sounding audiophile experience anyway….

I thought the production trick with all that PSF/High Rise/Keiji Haino stuff that came up in the wake of Rallizes was to wallop everything into the red anyway, all the better to conceal the fact it was probably recorded on a malfunctioning reel-to-reel.

Acid Seven, a bandleader and prankster who was a regular at Oz, recalled Mizutani interrupting his stoic silence at jam sessions only to utter existentialist riddles. He described Mizutani once taking a drag from his ever-present cigarette and proclaiming, “The smoke coming out of my mouth is extinguishing my ego,” with no further explanation offered.

By being totally uncompromising about the band’s sound, Mizutani effectively exiled himself from the Japanese music industry. Shime Takahashi, who played drums with the Rallizes in the mid-70s, recalled the band once working in a professional studio, only to find that the engineer never pressed record because he thought it was still rehearsing. Mizutani had been playing with the Rallizes for more than 20 years before releasing its three albums in 1991 — two sets of early recordings, and another double-CD live set of the band at its noisiest.

In a series of interviews this summer, Kubota said he had been working for months to sort through Mizutani’s collection, including numerous studio and live recordings.

“Now I have received the material for four full concerts and started working on it,” Kubota said. “It will be monstrous.”

Has anyone seen any news on the reissues? Pitchfork said the CDs would issue on 25 November, but the official website doesn't seem to have that info (it doesn't seem to be a well organised site).

They're out - and 77 Live is brickwall central indeed. But so was the bootleg, to be fair.

The other two aren't as bad (first track on 67-69 studio & live is over the top too but the rest is better)

My old copy of ‘77 Live sounds much better than this reissue. (Downloaded WAVs from Bandcamp.) Keeping the earlier version for sure.

Eh, I have been looking for a reasonably priced copy of '77 Live for years (certainly not paying the $130 they are currently going for), so I'll just have to deal with one that is slightly inferior.

This is the one to get. Nice packaging, really good sound.

Definitely more affordable! Saw that one at one point, but wasn't sure if it was the same material.

FYI - if you were like me and ordered any of the new CDs from Temporal Drift, the bandcamp page now says they won't be shipped until January 26, 2023

Has anyone else that pre-ordered any of the three LRD CDs from Temporal Drift received a shipping notification or anything? Supposedly these were to be shipped out a couple weeks ago, but I haven't heard or seen anything.
