Dammit, I was sure that there was some shaky video footage of it around, but I cannot find it anywhere. There is a pic, though: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2366/2115270375_cf08bbe8c5.jpg. I am the one at the back, rocking the proper upside-down crucifix - we did a good vs evil set, segueing from one verse of 'Jesus Christ' by Big Star into 'Come to the Sabbath', then ending with 'Like a Prayer', hence the others wearing non-Satanic crucifixes.
Anyway, I really do love this song. Have always heard that it's not really worth seeking out the rest of their stuff, though - is this true? Bearing in mind I really like it for its Comus-esque rollicking and frolicking, and have heard that they were actually meant to be a metal band...
(Also, they're from LEICESTER of all places.)

I don't have any of their LPs but the song 'Sacrifice' by them is also a jam (also not metal)

First album Sacrifice sounds more like Uriah Heep or Deep Purple on the whole, pretty stodgy spooky early 70s rock. I love it! Especially the song "Way To Power". After that they got progressively more boring for about 3 albums then they gave up, although the drummer went on to join Showaddywaddy.

Obv. Earmark does great vinyl, saw orig presses for $200...

(btw nothing wrong with it at all, just not my thang, but it is fucking bonkers 70s rock beyond belief. "come to the sabbat" is indicative of the album)

Oh looks like he posted here, too.
Their first album kind of reminds me of Spirit's first four.

"When My Mind Was Young" is a very sweet little song, in spite of itself.

I met someone with a dog named Astaroth and I had to hold back so hard on not just derailing the conversation into a talk about "Come to the Sabbath," a song this demonic dog owner has probably never even heard.

I just watched the episode of BORIS KARLOFF'S THRILLER entitled 'Dark Legacy' on netflix streaming. Coincidentally, it's chock full of Astaroth.
