not a 7" but one i keep listening to. Super haunting and more so once you know the backstory. Sir Collins' son was killed (murdered) in the New Cross Fire in 1981 and he made a tribue album which this is from (also recently came out on a 12").

She certainly has better taste than I did at age 12.

When my sister brings my one year old niece round I always stick on some dub music because she finds it calming (my niece, not my sister). I'm giving her a head start in life!

Sycamore Tree is all time!
And than I did too, although I did like Jamamican music when I was that age as there was so much of it in the top 40. Janet Kay's "Silly Games" was the one that opened the gates for me.
i do think children often seem to be drawn to it.

Iβve been revisiting this early 90s dancehall favourite of mine, I have mused over the years whether Steelyβa piano on this is supposed to touch an Italo House kind of feeling. Chaka Demus is good, I think, but a bit one paced and so best in small doses. Spanner Banner is Pliersβs brother. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IDO_vk5ywY
