he used to be good, or i used to think so. 2013 feels like a long time ago. he declined pretty drastically a couple years after that, became unreadable during the trump era and hasn’t recovered.

I stopped reading him around 2009. He wasn't terrible yet, but his style had worn thin.

full disclosure i still find glenn's perspective useful but the basis of his entire argument is that the libs of tik tok lady isn't a public figure which i just don't agree w/ at all. to me he seems to be arguing that just because you choose to be anonymous means that journalists have to respect that choice & i also disagree w/ that pretty firmly. of course where that line is drawn is subject to debate and based on contextual issues related to each case, but in this case i don't really see the argument for not revealing this woman's identity w/in the larger framing of an article about the account. she's done interviews on the most watched TV news show in the world, that was her choice. on the other hand i also don't find lorenz to be a particularly sympathetic figure so i'm kinda like that larry david meme on this one
