what do they say

publicly connecting a ref to tim donaghy is a hilarious thing to do

more or less:

-kogut been at it for 13 years in nba - never refd playoffs
-goes back to 2019 game warriors vs wolves where KD was fouled on a three at the end of the game that would have put him at the line with a chance to tie it ... kogut waived it off and said it was on the ground which it was not. curry then hits the three anyway and directly points at the ref clowning him (a hilarious moment in warriors lore). warriors go on to lose in 2OT. curry and KD get extra spicy in the post game pressers, calling kogut the MVP and such. they both get fined.
-however, draymond gets fined MORE than both of them for tweeting late that night connecting Tim D and Kogut lol
-he refd the warriors four times in 2020 - dray was ejected on the final one
-after that ejection and the rest of that season and the whole NEXT 2021 season... kogut is not assigned to ref the dubs one single time! no other ref was given that type of treatment / didnt ref a team. he refd every team but the warriors.
-hes refd them 7 times this season. he's Td up dray twice before the sunday game here he ejected dray early in the game with a quick whistle. warriors are 4-3 with him as ref this season but in the last 9 games with him as official they are 2-7 against the spread

I love all the interstitial pre-recorded player goofiness that you get on streams with arena feeds. Tonight it was Bam Adebayo dressed as a doctor with a goat mask on butchering Adele's "Hello". The other night it was Wiggins and Damien Lee trying to get each other to crack by trading compliments. It's corny but a lot more charming and natural than the state farm commercials.
