I wonder if he took Paxlovid, esp to speed up recovery . There's apparently a 'rebound' effect for some patients where the pills don't completely knock out the virus in 5 days, but gets it to undetectable levels, and the immune system, which got a break for 5 days, let's the virus rebound and re-emerge as essentially a new infection.
