folks if you enjoy Lakers schadenfreude I highly enjoy watching the last 2 minutes of this

this loss feels like an actual cry for help

the blazers beating LA with a gutted roster is supremely satisfying. it doesn't fix the roster, but it feels real good just the same.

watching and thinking about this lakers team gets me in about the same way as body horror

22-14-5 for sabonis in his first game as a king. they put up 132 points

the lakers are 5 games back of denver for the 6th seed but also 5.5 games ahead of the kings and spurs for the 13th seed. many things are possible if you believe

I much prefer they struggle to a play-in game, advance to the first round, and are unceremoniously swept (with a full roster).

Getting summarily dealt with by a middling team or two in the play-in game(s) would be pretty appealing as well

Sounds to me like the Nets might take their chance that Harden comes around before the playoffs unless Philly blows them away today. As much as I want this trade to happen for the drama, another satisfying result is the Nets letting it ride and Harden completely sinking them.

I was wondering, would 2010 Lebron make the Lakers a championship team? I know everyone is focused on westbrook, and that is a HUGE piece, but a lot of this is down to Lebron being a very good player not a transcendent player.

i think if there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that harden's decision to not formally request a trade has helped him avoid the public backlash that would come with asking out of a second franchise in consecutive seasons.

maybe they can resign him for cheap then idk its weird why have they turned their back on donte

if they sign donte and he’s good and they’re able to keep sabonis around (major if) they prob won’t end up regretting dealing halliburton. as two moves put together i can understand why they like it, they’re def a better team today than they were 2 days ago, tho i’m not as big of a donte fan and it’s still a leap of faith to assume sabonis will want to spend any time there beyond what he has to. he did seem fired up last night tho

i think ppl saw them acquiring future republican speaker of the house grayson allen as basically a much cheaper version of donte who they were forecasting would get an offer sheet beyond what they would want to pay beyond the tax. but they basically went from trading him for bogdan bogdanovic to getting the possibly irreparably damaged serge ibaka & a few seconds so it doesn’t seem like the trade market ever rematerialized for them

yeah i guess they look at it like dropping down 10 spots. thad will prob fit there even tho he’s been getting DNP CDs for most of the year

feels like there’s lots of pistons second round picks flying around even in trades they’re not even involved in feel like they should’ve kept those
