agree. there's just something cringe about the whole setup. an audience pays to have someone be funny for them. no wonder so many stand-up comics are assholes. i'm not sure why i don't feel this way about theater. the older i get the more my definition of humor turns to spontaneous riffing among friends.

You'll like this you cunt, not a lot, but you'll like it! tbf he was a much better magician than Paul Daniels and he's often made me laugh than any comedians do.
