Things You Just Don't Care About

I can more often than not capture people’s attention when I am ceded the floor, but in many other situations there seems to usually be some anxious blowhard who must have to hear the sound of their own voice every few seconds or they will die which tends to mean game over.

I also don't care what people are watching, for similar reasons mentioned. There are some shows that I watch/binge obsessively, others that I go through slowly, and still others where I am not committed enough to move through them in an expedient way.

Also generally, tho, I haven't seen many of the shows that people talk about a lot— never seen an episode of The Sopranos, nor Mad Men...watched one season of Breaking Bad. I just don't find even the idea of these shows compelling enough to want to watch them. I have books to read, my man.

I don't care about them, at all. I don't listen to them and don't care to.

i have one friend that gets upset that I don't watch shows she suggests, and I'm like....do I *have* to watch the shows you like? Like, why is it important that we watch exactly the same things? we have plenty of things to bond over.

and frankly, it feels like homework at that point.

All of the "business" aspects of sports. Don't care about trades or, worse yet, POSSIBLE trades, don't care about someone's contract, TV ratings/contracts. Seems like this shit gets discussed way more than the actual games, strategy, etc.

Like, there are lots of things out there that may be sad, bad, etc., but are not my business and I don't think I am obligated to formulate an exhaustively researched opinion on every one of them

The Oscars, Grammys, award shows in general are at the top of my Dont Care list. It makes me a little sad that they get such massive coverage.

With regards to the HOF, I would, for the 72nd time on this board--I used to do it all the time with a venerated poster--differentiate between "caring" about something (emotionally involved, genuinely upset if the results don't go the way you want them to) and taking a detached interest in it.
