In the first half Naby Sarr was narrowly deprived of scoring the FA cup own goal of the weekend by the post. He just can't help himself!

waghorn missing a one on one for us with his first touch is very on point

still in hope tho

nxd, Saturday, 5 February 2022 17:10 (two years ago) link

ah well never mind. Win a couple of those games in hand + your lot are still in the chase.

Forest looking like the prem side against Leicester rn!

calzino, Sunday, 6 February 2022 16:34 (two years ago) link

Steve Cooper’s commitment to the one facial expression, even as Forest take a three-nil lead over Leicester, is superb.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 6 February 2022 16:35 (two years ago) link

they couldn't buy a goal against us a few weeks back and his facial expression was pretty much the same!

calzino, Sunday, 6 February 2022 16:40 (two years ago) link

gosh imagine doing Arsenal and Leicester in very good style and then getting knocked out by little old Hudds in the 5th round.

calzino, Sunday, 6 February 2022 18:20 (two years ago) link

Been enjoying Steve Cooper's expression a lot lately in my local

Reader, I buried him (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 February 2022 18:24 (two years ago) link

I didn't rate him at Swansea but he seems to have developed into a much better manager at Forest. He did show his other big toothy school photograph smile expression at f/t tbf on him!

calzino, Sunday, 6 February 2022 18:58 (two years ago) link

fuck me, a bit of genuine cup magic. well done Boreham Wood.

calzino, Sunday, 6 February 2022 21:31 (two years ago) link

Apparently the FL's bastion of goodness and morality had a set-to with our lot the other day. Admittedly after we sung some MK Dons songs at them. Excellent show all round

imago, Monday, 7 February 2022 10:27 (two years ago) link

I'm so happy that Phillips scored the winner on his debut against the chickens! On Radio Leeds most the talk was about Matt Daly who we've loaned to Bradford and scored 8 from midfield whilst at Hartlepool. But no, it was Kieran's day today!

calzino, Saturday, 12 February 2022 20:50 (two years ago) link

It was a fun game, bit nervy at the end mind. I think I counted six separate songs piling abuse onto puffa-coated panto villain. Derek Adams. Bradford had the off chance but were mostly woeful. Fifth time we’ve played them this season, they haven’t beaten us once. “Derek Adams, it’s happening again”.

I’ve nothing against Bradford City but if you’re going to attract these big crowds by making the season tickets 50p each , it’s not going to do you much good if they all just main and grumble.

Tim, Sunday, 13 February 2022 01:10 (two years ago) link

Moan and grumble, that says.

Adams said this about Exeter in August.

5 games against them this season and we haven't beaten them once. 💀 #bcafc pic.twitter.com/UIOLGrLgvO

they seem more obsessed with their big-club status (fans, owner and local bbc team) than even those Wednesdayites are. On RL yesterday one of their commentary team was talking about how Daly might be initially a little fazed by their absolutely huuuge crowds after previously playing at a club as small as t'monkey hangers. I mean obviously cheap tickets is a good thing, but consistently giving it large about how maaassive your club is gets very tedious. hah! one of their fans was commenting that we had banks of empty seats against the blades yesterday, like yes you do get banks of empty seats on 12.30 sky tv games if you aren't Man Utd!

calzino, Sunday, 13 February 2022 08:27 (two years ago) link

Brett Huxtable, in case you are wondering. I haven’t seen the Crawley footage but Yemsy’s words ring true.

Big Brett Huxtable eh? Already seen that clip. Yems, as has been established, is the Last Gaffer

imago, Sunday, 13 February 2022 11:08 (two years ago) link

From North Devon apparently; sadly that doesn’t equate to his being disqualified from reffing our games.

Tim, Sunday, 13 February 2022 15:28 (two years ago) link

Derek "Cheer up Derek Adams" Adams has been given the heave-ho by Bradford. Poor fellow.

Tim, Tuesday, 15 February 2022 15:06 (two years ago) link

Grant McCann might be in next, a very jolly fellow in comparison to Adams, perhaps!

calzino, Tuesday, 15 February 2022 18:39 (two years ago) link

Benito Carbone has applied for the Bradford City job.

The 50-year-old Italian – most recently assistant coach for the Azerbaijan national team – has told the club he is interested in replacing Derek Adams.

lol them days when he was being paid 40 grand a week and living rent free in a spare mansion Geoffrey Richmond owned must seem like it was all a dream to some older Bradford City fans.

calzino, Tuesday, 15 February 2022 18:46 (two years ago) link

another one of my beefs with Bradford is that during their short lived prem era they were putting season ticket adverts in parts of the Heavy Woollen District that were always split between Hudds/Leeds. They thought they were bigger than NATO.

calzino, Tuesday, 15 February 2022 18:55 (two years ago) link

it was fun listening to the sky commentary spend the first half hour of the match wanking over and raving about how unstoppable Fulham are while we made them look quite stoppable and took a 2-0 lead. One of them a soft penalty, but perhaps a bit of payback to that cheating thug Mitrovic. If we had an ordinary keeper this probably would have been a draw at best. But even the Fulham commentary guy was saying that Nicholls is probably the best keeper in the championship he's seen by miles. Not bad for a freebie who couldn't even get a game at MK Franchise last season.

calzino, Saturday, 19 February 2022 16:11 (two years ago) link

unbeaten since NOVEMBER?! christ. corberan for leeds ;)

imago, Saturday, 19 February 2022 19:45 (two years ago) link

he's probably actually better than Bielsa because he's stopped off that murderball nonsense in training that he imported here from L**ds, that was probably the main cause of our injury crisis last season. There are already rumours they want Corberan in next and who can blame them, he took on a very hard job and so far, after a difficult first season has overachieved without having fuck all money to spend!

Steven Bull! Robert Plant! Kenny Hibbitt! Stan Cullis! Bob out of Shrag! Derek Dougan! Kevin Rowland. KEVIN ROWLAND!!! Your boys took a hell of a narrow defeat in a dead rubber that was probably quite handy as a run-out for some of our players!

Tim, Tuesday, 22 February 2022 15:53 (two years ago) link

damn i missed it

The main enjoyment was Hednesford Town's ground TBH. Up the Pitmen!

Oh and some Wolves fans giving it the oooooooooOOOOOOOOOH! YOU'RE SHIT AAAAAARGH! at our child goalie was funny.

Tim, Tuesday, 22 February 2022 17:03 (two years ago) link

(NB this is not football knowledge, they just had a banner that said "Up the Pitmen!")

"This club's been in the Premier League for 13 years out of the last 20," Bruce added. "With that there comes pressure.

on Monday we have a chance to go to the fa cup quarter final against Liverpool and then next the world famous Baggies on Friday, which is as good as a cup final according to Bruce.

calzino, Saturday, 5 March 2022 08:20 (two years ago) link

It would be really petty of me to enjoy Bruce fucking the Boggies OH GOD I CAN'T HELP IT I LOVE IT ITS FUCKING HILARIOUS

Seriously that 13 years is a surprise who remembers anything they did in the Prem apart from finally getting rid of Big Mick for us

i don't even own a bestseller (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 5 March 2022 08:39 (two years ago) link

I hadn't been paying much attention to them other than having a vague memory of them in the top two a few months back and then them quite dramatically falling off. What's gone wrong here I wondered. Ah I see, the Spruce Bruce landed on them!

calzino, Saturday, 5 March 2022 08:59 (two years ago) link

It seems like they did the same as we did on the prem - pissed away money on dud signings with rotten attitudes and got relegated. Lol they are still paying us for Karlan Grant, who felt like he was destined for greater things than Hudds. He's odds on to score against us on Friday though, that is certain.

calzino, Saturday, 5 March 2022 09:07 (two years ago) link

Twitter West Brom is having a collective fit, clinging on to that 5-1 against the Wolves as the only good memory some of them will ever have in their lives. a decade in the Champo should be good for restoring a sense of reality
