this is going to make for a sad epilogue in the DB story pic.twitter.com/69JJJCSily— Bowiesongs (@bowiesongs) February 1, 2022

It really isn't though, wtf has Woody Woodmansy got to do with DB's lasting legacy in 2022 other than paying his mortgage.
― Maresn3st, Tuesday, 1 February 2022 23:04 (two years ago) link
The dude who writes books about David Bowie is probably thinking of an epilogue in a different context to you.
― bad luck banging, or Lorna Doone (sic), Tuesday, 1 February 2022 23:11 (two years ago) link
If the band is open to anyone who toured behind Bowie, at least they have great alternatives. Woody's great too, but Bowie's had drummers who were even better in later tours. (Sterling Campbell for one - he played on Bowie's last tour.)

This is how Andrew Lloyd Webber ended his speech at Cinderella last night:"Does anyone know what Omicron and Delta are an anagram of?"Audience: ...ALW: "Media control"Audience: *silence*— All That Dazzles (@ATDazzles) February 4, 2022
― Portsmouth Bubblejet, Friday, 4 February 2022 11:29 (two years ago) link
watching the clip, the audience was far from silent

Excited for what this means for future Paul F. Tompkins ALW impersonations.
― Daniel_Rf, Friday, 4 February 2022 12:01 (two years ago) link
is he still doing ALW?
― Ste, Friday, 4 February 2022 12:25 (two years ago) link
He did DSALW on CBB with Aisling Bea in November, and at a live show two weeks earlier
― bad luck banging, or Lorna Doone (sic), Friday, 4 February 2022 14:21 (two years ago) link
There's no "s" in Omicron or Delta, so why would anyone guess "silence"? That audience is dumb.

Surely Joe Rogan did all he can {& I'm not a fan }. He's apologised, said in future he will get guests on with counter views, whenever a guest has a controversial opinion. When did the main stream media {who've been wrong about plenty over the last couple of years} apologise? https://t.co/gjXdgP6X5o— Dexys (@DexysOfficial) February 5, 2022
― piscesx, Saturday, 5 February 2022 12:10 (two years ago) link
that seems misguided but not covidiocy proper
― Daniel_Rf, Saturday, 5 February 2022 12:12 (two years ago) link
that's a fun idea to ponder. the idea that the mainstream media, as a whole, should apologize. since no single entity owns the mainstream media (except the reptilians, LLC), i guess he's wants the individual networks to issue apologies? but aren't those what corrections and retractions are? so i guess he's thinking of individuals in the media who have been completely wrong, over and over and over, always wrong on purpose, seemingly, like sean hannity and tucker carlson, the daily mail op-ed writers, the like?

does the dexy's guy know anyone in his personal LIFE that is willing to apologize for years of lying to his face? i know so many people like that, and have ZERO expectation that they'll ever apologize, or even come to the realization that they were completely wrong in the first place, and that if they did, that they should feel some sort of oddly "human" feeling sometimes called "remorse", attached to that realization of wrongness, and that maybe their job of processing how they were completely wrong and lied for years is not quite complete until they apologize or try to make up for it somehow?
at any rate, NO ONE APOLOGIZES, EVER, is my experience with real humans

I very much doubt Kevin Rowlands is talking about Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson. I doubt many people in the UK have ever heard of them.

that's because apologies are net zero - the disregard of everyone who moved on from apologies must be paid in unnecessary expressions of regret from others

anyone else wondering if you just get stupid after a certain age and it's what's in store for all of us?
i think i'd like to be a moon denier. seems like a relatively harmless one. it's just a light projection or a hologram or something, right?

Clapton update:
Famed guitarist Eric Clapton, COVID skeptic, is infected, cancels concertsEric Clapton, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist who has long been critical of efforts to mitigate spread of COVID-19, has canceled a pair of concerts after getting infected. “Eric Clapton is unfortunately suffering from Covid having tested positive shortly after the second concert at the Royal Albert Hall,” according to a post on his Facebook page.“He has been told by his medical advisors that if he were to resume traveling and performing too soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery. Eric is also anxious to avoid passing on any infection to any of his band, crew, promoters, their staff and of course the fans.” The shows had been scheduled in Zurich on Tuesday and Milan on Wednesday. Last year, the guitarist said he would cancel any shows where audience members were required to show proof of vaccination and falsely suggested the life-saving shots were being promoted through “mass psychosis.” He also recorded the anti-lockdown songs “This Has Gotta Stop” and “Stand and Deliver,” a collaboration with singer Van Morrison, which included the lyrics, “Do you wanna wear these chains/ Until you’re lying in the grave?”
