Probably the most aerial offense in the playoffs

Mitch Trubisky kneeling out the clock in the playoffs...never thought I'd see the day

SO HAPPY YOU GUYS

horseshoe, Sunday, 16 January 2022 04:12 (two years ago) link

well that was a paddlin'

mookieproof, Sunday, 16 January 2022 04:13 (two years ago) link

it does make one wonder how in the fuck the bills lost (9-6!) to jacksonville

mookieproof, Sunday, 16 January 2022 04:21 (two years ago) link

dude the Bills have played like ass so many times this season. Our offensive line seems to have figured something out in the last three weeks.

horseshoe, Sunday, 16 January 2022 04:22 (two years ago) link

Bills seem like they might be better than people think - all 11 of their wins were by double digits and all but one of their losses was by 7 or less. They have the best point differential in the league.

frogbs, Sunday, 16 January 2022 04:27 (two years ago) link

they are really talented on both sides of the ball, but the offense self destructed a bunch of times this season. Defense has been legit all year.

horseshoe, Sunday, 16 January 2022 04:29 (two years ago) link

they kinda remind me of the Packers when they won it all in 2010, they feel untrustworthy but all the metrics really seem to like them. Pats had the 3rd best point differential, beating them by a zillion is no small deal

frogbs, Sunday, 16 January 2022 04:39 (two years ago) link

yeah guess it was just their day

Josh Allen says he was trying to throw the ball away on the first TD throw to Dawson Knox. He got up and started walking back to the huddle after the play with no idea what happened. Said he couldn’t figure out why people were celebrating and had to keep asking about the play.

Bills imo

horseshoe, Sunday, 16 January 2022 15:43 (two years ago) link

never having played, I always wondered what it was like to be a QB, like, if you get hit or brought down as you throw, how soon do you know *exactly* what happened? obviously the crowd clues you in as to whether you scored/got a big gain as there are levels, but I always felt like I'd start jumping up and down and celebrating a TD and my WR buddies would come over and be like "slow your roll, we only got to the goal line".

Holy shit has this really never been done

The Buffalo Bills just had the NFL’s first ever perfect offensive game.

No punts. No picks. No fumbles lost. No field goals. All touchdowns on every single drive until the kneel downs.

And they did it against a top five defense.

I wish Tom Brady would quit this tiresome charade of trolling me by continuing to play football. And look younger than he did 10 years ago…

feel like we may wait a good while before a 7 seed beats a 2 seed

Dallas calling a perfect fake punt play, then forgetting to pull the punt team off and rushing the offense back resulting in a delay of game is peak McCarthy

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 00:02 (two years ago) link

Ok very curious what the 4th down boy thinks of this one

lmao what was that

Three Rings for the Elven Bishop (Dan Peterson), Monday, 17 January 2022 01:02 (two years ago) link

Honestly I have always been curious how they would handle something like that. I wonder if there’s a rule for that anywhere

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 01:04 (two years ago) link

One thing I love about the NFL is how it allows so many bizarre, never-before-seen things to happen and there’s this running theme of them happening during the playoffs. Half the time against the Cowboys. Between this and Burrow throwing a TD after the whistle we’ve got 2 already

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 01:42 (two years ago) link

is this the worst offense ever to appear in a playoff game

mookieproof, Monday, 17 January 2022 02:36 (two years ago) link

first-half offensive yards: KC 302, PIT 44
yards per play: KC 7.6, PIT 1.6
passing yards: KC 231, PIT 13

mookieproof, Monday, 17 January 2022 02:48 (two years ago) link

KC -13 seems like such an obvious pick in retrospect, they've clearly packed it in

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 03:08 (two years ago) link

thank you to the Raiders for making this happen

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 03:14 (two years ago) link

mookieproof, Monday, 17 January 2022 03:16 (two years ago) link

record for most passing TDs in a playoff game is 6. Mahomes currently has 6 with 14 minutes left to play

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 03:38 (two years ago) link

mahomes is fortunate in his choice of opposing team

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 04:14 (two years ago) link

what a happy moment, to never have to watch ben roethlisberger play football again

call all destroyer, Monday, 17 January 2022 04:16 (two years ago) link

even if he wasn't a rapist and (by all accounts) a deeply unpleasant person I can still say he was maybe the most boring HOF QB I've ever seen play, despite some fucking crazy statlines from time to time. the only nice thing I'll say is I do not wish upon him the crippling pain that he is likely to experience for the rest of his life. though if some network gives him an on-air job like they did Brees that may change

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 04:20 (two years ago) link

he's not bright/interesting enough to be a commentator, and there are way too many other people as or better qualified who aren't rapists

fwiw this is really good, for those who can read it

earlnash, Monday, 17 January 2022 15:06 (two years ago) link

McCarthy in not knowing hte rules shockah

fucking QB draw, and why didn't he just go down a second or two earlier, can he not throw the ball an extra five yards?

like any Cowboy woulda caught the mary.

actually don't think the QB draw was that bad a play - they probably figured one shot from 20 yards out was better than two from 40. of course that is contingent on not running the clock out. apparently they probably could've gotten it off had Dak handed the ball to the ref instead of his center but idk how aware of that he was gonna be in the moment

would've been an insane loss for SF had the Cowboys pulled it off somehow. Cowboys-esque, even

frogbs, Monday, 17 January 2022 15:38 (two years ago) link

thing is though, he could have slid a second or two sooner, he had cleared the first down by a lot. he got greedy cos the middle of the field was open but like, give yourself up sooner.

the clock ran out because they didnt have enough time to make that play which imho makes it bad

lag∞n, Monday, 17 January 2022 15:40 (two years ago) link

even if he went down earlier its still cutting it way too close

lag∞n, Monday, 17 January 2022 15:40 (two years ago) link

oh well, no 1981/1988 rematch.

can't really quibble with either team winning. though obv I'll pull for the team that's never won over the Rams, but that Rams team that won was like 22 years ago

he's very big in the region of my butthole (Neanderthal), Monday, 31 January 2022 02:38 (two years ago) link

that was one of the weirdest looking game-ending plays I've ever seen

frogbs, Monday, 31 January 2022 02:38 (two years ago) link

so after 50+ years of it never happening, two consecutive Super Bowls played on one of the team's home fields.

Happy for Matty Stafford. Will he get a ring? Who knows. But he deserves to play in the Super Bowl at least once before he's done.

Bengals must have the worst offensive line to ever play in a Super Bowl

kinda wanted Handsome Jimmy to bungle his way into the Super Bowl but this is good too. Stafford deserves a chance and this team sold out so much to compete now, I like when that's rewarded

symsymsym, Monday, 31 January 2022 03:52 (two years ago) link

incredible is good and it's fun to watch. but that doesn't mean non- affiliated fans don't appreciate it when another team rises up and beats the incredible team. that's great fun for the non-affiliated fans, too.
