gotta think theres some interpersonal aspect of this trade, outwardly reddish seems like exactly the type of guy you keep around and develop

― lag∞n, Thursday, January 13, 2022 12:59 PM (fourteen minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

it's definitely a "we don't want to pay you anything" trade, could be due to personality/work stuff but the hawks are about to get really expensive so it might be budgetary as well

call all destroyer, Thursday, 13 January 2022 18:15 (two years ago) link

I’ve see a lot of scapegoating of reddish from hawks fans

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 13 January 2022 18:16 (two years ago) link

Sounds like his effort can be pretty bad at times

deandre jordan is a playoff god lolllll

wait is “matt armstrong” just a ray westbrook burner????

J0rdan S., Thursday, 13 January 2022 18:26 (two years ago) link

i think not only do the hawks not want to pay reddish they also don’t really have time to develop him. he’s still pretty raw and they’re trying to win and have better more established guys who need to get minutes instead of him, especially w deandre hunter back now

J0rdan S., Thursday, 13 January 2022 18:27 (two years ago) link

yeah my only hesitancy moving Reddish now is that Hunter hasn't really proved he can stay healthy consistently. Hunter is clearly the better investment otherwise

you see the rumors about donovan mitchell wanting to play for a big market then see stuff like this and it makes sense. also still crazy how many d rose stans are out there.

Spottie, Thursday, 13 January 2022 22:19 (two years ago) link

micah, Thursday, 13 January 2022 22:43 (two years ago) link

bandwagon people just vote for everybody on the team they adopt for the year

Clay, Thursday, 13 January 2022 22:46 (two years ago) link

no idea who gets that third spot in the west frontcourt because the media and coaches sure aren't giving it to wiggins. draymond? gobert?

Clay, Thursday, 13 January 2022 22:47 (two years ago) link

it will be one of those two

J0rdan S., Thursday, 13 January 2022 22:53 (two years ago) link

dray

Spottie, Thursday, 13 January 2022 22:54 (two years ago) link

Apparently Michael Porter Jr’s back surgery went so well that he really might be back this season

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 13 January 2022 23:28 (two years ago) link

Apparently reddish has wanted out of Atlanta for a while

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 January 2022 00:04 (two years ago) link

he's blue-ish now

roflrofl fight (voodoo chili), Friday, 14 January 2022 00:06 (two years ago) link

good luck with all that. why even risk it honestly

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 January 2022 00:23 (two years ago) link

anyone else noticing this trend of refs calling offenseive fouls on open court screens that are legal but look bad cos the defender crumbles since they didnt see it coming?

Spottie, Friday, 14 January 2022 00:44 (two years ago) link

there should be like 90% fewer illegal screens called in the NBA. such a bad & stupid game flow killer. it should be completely egregious to me or else let’s just keep it moving

J0rdan S., Friday, 14 January 2022 00:54 (two years ago) link

its insane. warriors get about 3-5 per game it feels like

Spottie, Friday, 14 January 2022 00:55 (two years ago) link

looney alone has to have about 30 on the season

Spottie, Friday, 14 January 2022 00:55 (two years ago) link

Are the Warriors bad now?

DJI, Friday, 14 January 2022 01:03 (two years ago) link

Whole team collectively forgot how to shoot so yes

Spottie, Friday, 14 January 2022 01:21 (two years ago) link

On-track to lose by double

DJI, Friday, 14 January 2022 01:24 (two years ago) link

jaysus that is a beatdown in progress

call all destroyer, Friday, 14 January 2022 01:26 (two years ago) link

One of those one team makes every shot back other team makes no shots games

Spottie, Friday, 14 January 2022 01:26 (two years ago) link

Depends on what surgery he had and we don’t know

auld gang syne (k3vin k.), Friday, 14 January 2022 01:48 (two years ago) link

steph 12 points on 11 shots what the hell

lag∞n, Friday, 14 January 2022 02:57 (two years ago) link

Dubs need to send their whole team down to Santa Cruz. Just painful to watch at the moment.

that's not my post, Friday, 14 January 2022 03:20 (two years ago) link

if the nuggets don't beat portland by 100 points when portland is sans mccollum, simons, lillard, and lord knows who else, i am going to have reservations about their ability to win the nba championship

Clay, Friday, 14 January 2022 03:26 (two years ago) link

curry now 38/112 (.339) from the field and 16/57 (.281) from 3 in january. he’s actually doing a great job taking care of the ball and still hitting 90% of his free throws or else it’d be ugly

auld gang syne (k3vin k.), Friday, 14 January 2022 03:27 (two years ago) link

some insane facu sequences just now

auld gang syne (k3vin k.), Friday, 14 January 2022 03:28 (two years ago) link

He barely even touched the ball. Don’t think they ran a single pnr for him and the bucks loaded up on him and didn’t bite on any of the off ball stuff. Kerr needs to shake things up a bit, and the new rotation seems like it’s messing w him this season. Like tonight he finally got a shot like 5 min in and then Kerr yanked him. Steph is a rhythm player and he hasn’t been able to get in one for a while. Really tho the offense has been in the dumps for a couple/few weeks now.

Spottie, Friday, 14 January 2022 03:29 (two years ago) link

for a guy who is 35 and had heart surgery 10 years ago…jeff green can really elevate

auld gang syne (k3vin k.), Friday, 14 January 2022 03:37 (two years ago) link

as I was saying

auld gang syne (k3vin k.), Friday, 14 January 2022 04:00 (two years ago) link

Yeah it’s pretty wild that they signed Jeff Green to be a dunker spot/ transition finishing guy and at his age he can still succeed in this role

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 January 2022 14:39 (two years ago) link

for a guy whose game never really evolved or changed all that much, jeff green has had quite a roller coaster career

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Friday, 14 January 2022 14:52 (two years ago) link

He’s in the pantheon of solid dudes who play for 10+ teams

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 January 2022 14:55 (two years ago) link

in retrospect it is absolutely bonkers that the celtics spent an entire season+ relying on him as their #1 option on offense. during a teardown, but still

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Friday, 14 January 2022 15:02 (two years ago) link

in retrospect

the stuff at the end about draft picks vs players kinda confirms what we already know but interesting to hear a GM say it
