Exactly the same as the Yngwie Malmsteen and Ritchie Blackmore reissue finishes too, which was Hubert Sumlin's finish of choice too, I've read.

Vingate USA-Made Crate 250 Watt Monster -Reputation Matters! - $300

Crate is most definitely not a boutique amp builder however this one is not your average crate!

The box is a ground-up rebuild and is constructed from solid dovetail birch. It's resonant and gorgeous! The handle is 1/2 inch pipe 100% the real deal. The speakers are the Original Celestion G12s. It was made in the USA about 1982 so think early metal. I am not your weekend CL'er This is my personal amp.

I had that amp. I bought with all I had to spare in 1992, and played it for years though I was never thrilled with the sound. One summer day, hauling it down cement steps, as the bassist was ready to pick me up for practice, I slipped. I was wearing shorts. Knowing I had no way to repair or replace it, my body made the split second decision to grip it tightly and hold it upright as my kneecaps were sanded down sliding over the last six steps. I was able to rest the amp on the sidewalk safely, then rolled over and let my knees gush blood.

Later, I gigged with it when my subsequent better amp was in the shop. Bad gig. Lent it out to the drummer's wife for her new band, and she immediately returned it 'cause she hated the sound. About 8 years ago lent it to my daughter's friend, and her house burned to the ground. RIP Crate 250.

I guess that counts as some kind of mojo.

I'm loving the "Reputation Matters!" tagline for his CL ads

Carvin Bolt USA Made -Reputations matters! - $450

Plays like Butta! Options include birdseye board, aged swamp ash body, Locking Tuners, Wilkinson floating bridge. $450 is a steal for a USA-made strat. Excellent shape, No case. This is a Pro-built kit guitar, The same ones that now sell for over $1200 at Carvin/Kiesel today. The difference? Carvin assembles vs pro (me). I am 316guitars on reverb and this is my personal guitar. You can read my flawless feedback if you like at: https://reverb.com/shop/316guitars

I have owned stratss from Masterbuilders John Suhr, Sadowsky, Fessler to name a few. Is this one as good? Absolutely not. Those are 4-6K guitars! -That would be a ridiculous claim. I will say it's easily a match for any USA fender or G&L for less than half the price.

This guitar was hand-finished and set up by me. Come see, play it etc. Carvin is now Kiesel and they no longer offer USA-Made CNC kits.

Price is firm

Thank you to all the folks who made 316Guitars what is was! In the Gospel of John in chapter 3 verse 16 Jesus tells us in his own words: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
By "gave" it means he literally gave. Gave His life on the cross for you. There was a debt you could not pay -the sin, the shame, the guilt He took it all on himself! He paid it all!

This is a custom built 2016 Fender Classic Series 60s Jazzmaster Lacquer Rosewood fretboard neck paired with an MJT Closet Clean Relic Lacquer Alder body in Lake Placid Blue finish. Admittedly relics aren't normally my thing but a number of things lined up where the world seemed to be telling me to build one and the results far exceeded my expectations. I had recently acquired the neck which appeared to have some light relic'ing around the headstock but the fretboard and frets as well as the back of the neck were still in excellent condition. Shortly after I came across the body and won on eBay and right after that the naturally worn G&G hard case so it all came together rather quickly.

If you've followed me over the past few of years you know how much I love Jazzmasters and "Offset" Fenders in general so this was probably inevitable. For those of you skeptical or wary of "Partscasters" I'll stop you right there and assure you that this one consists of the highest quality components and care with attention to detail and setup. As my feedback shows and past customers would expect, this guitar is no different and held to the same high standards. Please read further for all the details as it is well worth your time so you know exactly what you're getting:

I love nods to tradition but am in no way a purist and always appreciate subtle modern touches. Spec wise, especially with the 7.25" vintage radius and frets, it stays pretty true to vintage specs. The body is very much a traditional Jazzmaster style body with the tremolo in the original location which is further back from the bridge, unlike many of the "Modified" or "Player" series Fender Jazzmasters where the tremolo is moved closer to the bridge and usually paired with an Adjusto-Matic or Tune-O-Matic style bridge (and a mismatched radius to that of the fretboard!)

Condition wise, aside from the intentional light to medium relic'ing to the body, headstock and light oxidation to the hardware, this guitar is in excellent condition. There's almost no fret wear and the back of the neck is free from bumps and dings as well the usual worn/stripped finish (I'll leave that up to you).

These traditional and vintage style "Offsets" from Fender sit on a great foundation, but I'm really surprised how they sell any of them because they're setup so horribly from the factory and buzz like crazy with anything less than a set of 12s (I know, they're absolutely gorgeous looking guitars, so probably form over function in most cases. Even the American made offsets have this same problem because of the same original location of the tremolo (further back), vintage style floating bridge and the lack of break angle on them. This on top of some mediocre hardware and electronics choices from the factory, I decided I would overhaul many of these issues so you can enjoy this guitar with a set of 10s and not have to string it up with bridge cables or use one of those Buzz Stops that not only changes the look of the guitar but the feel and tone as well. These modded ones of mine will hold their own against American models any day of the week.

Please read further to see the list of upgrades as well as how the guitar was setup:

$1999 marked down from $2750. Or you could just buy a new American Original Jazzmaster from Guitar Center for $2200.

No insane paragraphs about your Reverb followers but I dig this listing - a "Fender Custom Shop Jazzmaster" but he replaced the entire body with a random one and had his guy paint it. Which kind of makes it a not-Fender Custom Shop guitar anymore, doesn't it?

Flash in the Pan, discarded Guitar? (Davenport)

Sad old relic of what once glittered.
Sum of it's parts:
String-thru paulownia body, sealed and leveled but bad looking paint from old cans. Several coats of clear lacquer, nonetheless. Got my money back for the old paint from hobby lobby. Their bad after all.
Maple/Rosewood neck of no particular quality, tinted and lacquered for affect. Lev/crown/pol med/jumbo? frets. Bone nut. Logo is waterslide under a bunch of lacquer. 25-1/2 scale.
Standard, easy to find, single coil, tele bridge pickup and bridge. Spanky alnico I think.
Pickguard & mini humbucker neck pickup from GFS, wired as series hum only. Swanky.
Standard CTS under the chrome plate. Never cranky.
Actually it's new and created and assembled in Davenport, USA. And is one of a kind. That's the expensive part.
Plus it plays great. Setup for 10's. Action at about 1.25mm at the 12th. Can't get it lower without some buzz. Please try tho. Color is the azure underbelly of air force one.
Offers under 3,817.44 Chinese Yuan will be pointless. Shout out low ball offers will be scorned.
Check it out by appointment, or stop by if you know who I am and where I live. Long live 45.

MARTIN D-45S AUTHENTIC 1936
by Martin
$49,999.00

DESCRIPTION
Here to remind you why you fell in love with Martin in the first place, the new Authentics are constructed the old way - with hide glue, throughout, and historically-accurate detailing confirmed by using a CAT scan machine located at the Smithsonian Institution. The D-45S Authentic 1936 is based on a large body D-45 located in the Martin museum, and features Brazilian rosewood back and sides, an Adirondack spruce top, period-correct "45" Authentic style appointments, and includes gold tuners with hand-engraved butterbean knobs. Martin’s new Vintage Tone System (VTS) is employed for the top and braces. The new Martin Vintage Tone System (VTS) uses a unique recipe that is based on the historic torrefaction system. The VTS acts much like a time machine in which Martin can target certain time periods and age the top/braces to that era. This focused method allows Martin’s craftsmen and women to recreate not only the pleasing visual aesthetics of a vintage guitar, but also reproduce the special tones previously reserved for vintage instruments.

Oh great, I finally get to post one here! Took me a while to find the thread title.

Dated in 2016, this guitar is not for the faint at heart. She's a true shredding dream! The only blemishes on the guitar is a few light scratches on the front as well as some buckle rash on the back and a few of the saddles on the Floyd Rose trem have blackened which is common for some reason with these. Actual retail description is as follows:

Unlock your full potential as a player with the innovative Jackson Pro Series Soloist™ SL2Q MAH, the final word in high-tech guitar design. A high-performance evolution of the electric guitar, this ergonomic instrument opens up new horizons of playability, resetting the bar of what’s possible in guitar design.
Premium features include a mahogany body with a quilt maple top and a one-piece through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods to provide stiffness and high stability, guarding against temperature- and humidity-induced bending and warping. Its 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing—more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the neck (with hand-rubbed oil back finish) for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out.

Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, a pair of modern Seymour Duncan® Distortion humbucking pickups drives this guitar’s voice, combining for highly balanced, flexible tone, with plenty of high output for pristine cleans and snarling distortion. Single volume and tone controls shape the pickups’ output, which can be further refined with the three-way toggle switch for the precise voice required to bring your musical vision to life. Dive and soar expressively with the Floyd Rose® 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system, recessed for pick hand comfort and providing laser-accurate intonation and ultra-stable tuning.
All the famous Jackson appointments are offered with the SL2Q MAH —black nickel hardware, piranha tooth inlays, Jackson-branded sealed die-cast tuning machines and traditional pointed 6-in-line matching headstock.

DIRECT MOUNT SEYMOUR DUNCAN® TB-6/SH-6N DISTORTION HUMBUCKING PICKUPS
The powerful TB-6 trembucker was built for the most aggressive of styles—punk, gothic, thrash, hard rock and heavy metal. Ideal for dropped tunings, this high-output pickup delivers punch and raw, distorted rock sounds. The SH-6 Distortion neck pickup is perfect for driving - or overdriving - your amp's input, yielding a ton of crunch while maintaining clarity.

FLOYD ROSE® FRT-O5000 DOUBLE-LOCKING TREMOLO (RECESSED)
The highly innovative Floyd Rose® tremolo system has been a key feature in guitars since the early 1980s. Recessed for picking-hand comfort, the Floyd Rose 1000 series bridge is a professional-grade double-locking design that secures the strings in the saddle and nut, providing ultimate tuning stability.
There are many colors in this model still available but not this blue. Also, this particular one retailed for $1349 with most stores having sold this for $999 with a case or bag. This comes with a Gator professional bag.
**Selling for a friend so no trade offers please. Best offer optional.
Thank you!

I purchased this Reverend Buckshot in September of 2022. It's a 2021 model that was brand new when I bought it. The owner of the shop told me the founder of Reverend Guitars started in his repair shop. I bought it because I couldn't find the Nash model I wanted and my research got me excited about this one. I played it for a total of about 3 hours. 2.5 hours in rehearsal and then at the Blues Saloon for a half hour at the Road to Memphis competition. Many complimented me on its tone and said it sounded like a woody horn. That's because I took full advantage of the unique bass contour knob which can make the single coil bridge pickup sound like fat single tele pickup or a woody P90. Just after that gig the Nash model I'd been looking for popped up for sale so I bought it. It's a better gigging guitar only from the standpoint that it's already beat up and worn. I've kept the Reverend as a back up but have now found an amp I'm after so have decided to sell it. The Reverend has a roasted neck with locking tuners and is both light and super comfortable to play and wear. Great price and it comes with the gig bag I got it in along with the Reverend case candy. $750 is a great deal. Thanks for looking!

Many complimented me on its tone!!!
