I think it was on the other thread but I definitely had no idea “amazing grace” was liked so well. In the bottom half of their admittedly great track record of album openers (Words, Sunflower, Monkey, White Horses, etc.)

trust has some good tunes but i feel like the production is so... distant and indirect for the most part

hm, i feel exactly the opposite

kinda like that time i saw them in halifax minister for a christmas show but i was drunk off two miniature bottles of red wine from the train ride and stood behind a pillar at the back for the whole show

it and c’mon are my favorite (acoustic, non-blown out) low production jobs

Wow. I know “Waltz” is beloved but I’d honestly like to hear from others about giving “Murderer” such high marks.

XP completely shocked. It was my #1 and had no thought it was in that circle of reverence. I knew the EP version was preferred by the heads but that was it.

there's something about the mellotron(?) & bass progression & the opening lines that makes it so definitive, final, resolute. it feels like the complete epitome, like the last song they could have ever written. they could have stopped there and it would have been perfect, but im so glad they didnt.
