glad there are vocal tracks, wasn't hugely into the idea of an all-instrumental Nicolay record, but I shouldn't have worried about anything as the instrumentals are rich with detail, too

yo at any point did ya'll discuss the j*davey album(s)? i know it's over a year old but i only got a hold of it a week ago and have been finding alot to love about it.

The J*Davey album was pretty enjoyable for a few listens. Some keepers there. I look forward to seeing where they go in the future.

Shafiq Husayn's En A-Free-Ka is pretty good, a lot better and a lot more focused than this year's Sa-Ra album. Interesting how most of the rhythms seem to be based more in Afro-beat than hiphop or R&B.

Kings Ballad is so much more listenable and interesting to me than Umsindo, which often prized weirdness over actual quality. Here the balance is a lot better.

xp: If you haven't, check out the Foreign Exchange's Leave It All Behind (which features Yahzarah, among others, on vocals) and Nicolay's City Lights 2: Shibuya, both of which are produced by Nicolay and of excellent quality, albeit much more subdued than this. I haven't heard Yahzarah's previous albums, though. I may have to now.

I'm also happy to find out today that there's a new FE album in October. I am becoming such a total stan for them. XD
