one very strange side effect of the later trump years, the vortex of twitter, and the trapped/overstimulated feeling of lockdown (and about 18mos of grueling job stress in there too) is just forgetting to look at ilx. it seems like a nice place, still.

Another something nice about ILX in general, not any specific poster

This place has remained comparatively unblemished and more or less civil, with attentive modding and long institutional memory, in an internet social landscape that has gone through so many changes in the last 20 years. Migrations to and from various platforms have affected ILX but the forum continues to offer what it has always offered: text based chat. No avatars, no upvoting, no deleting or editing. I'm glad you're still here, borad.

Bee OK's love of music is inspiring. I'm not at all a Daft Punk fan, but the way that poll was done was inspiring.
