I can't find much about the festival, sort of mysteriously scarce on the internet. Did find this from the L.A. Times, sounds like it was organized by the Eagles. (But it doesn't show up on the Eagles tour itinerary from that year, that I can tell.)

I kind of remember this get a very brief mention in the Marc Eliot Eagles bio. Henley had gotten into tennis as a way to exercise his back, and iirc he and Irving Azoff were behind the event using the Eagles' name.
