everyone says "ILX needs more posters. some of those younger ones, maybe that have new musical opinions."
i say no. we need older ones. people in their 40s, with experience and wisdom. a Dissensus acquisition could make us 5% older by FY22

Isnt the dissensus vs ilx thing as old as the lifespan of the former?

I joined in 2009 but am still in the mailroom. Sometimes I try to get noticed by higher ups but most of the time I give up and slack off.

I was listening to an LRB podcast (not a humblebrag) with Ow3n H and Ju1iet J the other day and Ow3n made a passing reference to the old blogging days and how it was split down lines between 'those who posted on Dissensus and those who posted on I Love Music'. He followed up with 'I was one of the few who posted on both'. Quality bants.

(Not meant as shade, btw - love Ow3n and Ju1iet. Just made me smile.)

they posted me getting zinged while being objectively correct, which pretty much sums up dissensus to me ... rhetorical force disguising unearned authority― xheugy eddy (D-40), Wednesday, 20 October 2021
TBF, that's all music criticism is. Ex post facto. By nature the critic is always behind the uncritical consumer - that's an Adornite paradox for you to wrestle with, right there.
