Is it still available on the website too?

Are the printed editions that were supposed to begin dropping last year still coming? Anyone like sic know why the Fantagraphics series petered out so soon?

The complete collections were due to start in June 2020; one can only guess at forces that may have delayed the first one, especially if the editor was traveling to the US to work on it.

Dark Horse did the fizzled-out hardcovers. Onstad is selling the original tape-bound books for $225-250 rn, and dropped a new issue of Beef’s zine in 2020.

I know some people think Achewood is corny and it fell off towards the end but the peak stuff was just wonderful, hilarious and beautiful

sounds like the tumult of having the possible animated series be canceled followed by a shake-up at the publisher meant it didn't happen

I've been a John Allison supporter on Patreon for a few years but he's gone off in directions that don't interest me, so I'm going to shift that support to Onstad and see how it goes.

I note that the twitter thread does mention the short-lived artisanal soda company that Onstad was part of that the recent articles seem to have missed

I did start making weird faces when I read this, though
