the list of councillors has been set for Newham now (chosen by the NEC) and all of the new intake apart from one are firmly on the right. only three councillors left who supported Corbyn.

there's room for several narratives about the position of socialism in the Labour Party, and for debate about how anomalous the Corbyn moment was, or the Atlee government was, but i feel pretty safe saying that it's never been more useless to working class people and the Left in general than it is now
