Watching ITV hub and there's a stupid car dealership ad that sounds like Kate Bush at the start and every time I'm like 'what is this? oh yeah' and being an online thing it's the same ads every time for every break forever

okay I'm gonna admit it. this bothers me. the original "Jake from State Farm" ad aired like three billion times. it was played so much during NFL games that it's permanently seared into my brain. State Farm apparently loved it so much that they even brought it back after a year off the air. and then a few years later "oh now instead of being some frumpy 3rd shift office drone he's this super handsome dude that everyone loves". its not the same character. they could've called him anything else. I know this shit shouldn't bother me but again, the original ad was played so fucking much

I noticed the other week that one of the Freeview movie channels was trailing a Christmas films only channel to start in September, might already be up and running.

the Verisure adverts have a new episode - same couple whose neighbours where burgled (they cam in through the garden...) but this time with added verisure installation guy.

it would appear they can't afford more than 2 speaking parts ever as the wife says nothing.

it's like the oxo family, only with security cameras.

The wife says nothing and looks slightly deranged.

Surprised no-one has mentioned so far that the Go Compare guy is more annoying as himself than he ever was as the most annoying character in adverts.

I've not knowingly seen him in anything since that ad, but it seems some Spurs fans have.

I actually did see Kris Marshall in our 'local' Tea garden with his fam (mum&dad) a few years ago. That won't happen again (Tea Garden closed down)

I actually did see Kris Marshall in our 'local' Tea garden with his fam (mum&dad) a few years ago. 

I am increasingly troubled by the radio 2 TV advert where they dress up the presenters as bad family photos, they have gone for retro laffs and ended up making some extremely unfunny, fairly cursed images. Every time I see it, it looks worse.

Lindor are now also on my 'christmas adverts in october' shitlist.

So I just seen an advert for a Motorhead album, which was very strange cos who does tv adverts for albums in 2021? and the voice guy sounded like Tommy Vance, and I'm like I'm sure Tommy Vance is dead, so I Googled Tommy Vance and yes Tommy Vance has been dead for several years, so somebody has made a TV advert for a Motorhead album and got somebody to do a Tommy Vance impersonation on the voice-over, also now I know Tommy Vance's birth name and it is very funny

so many names, and none of them is Thomas

I've just noticed that the terrible, sexist, creepily cgi-looking advert for Aunt Bessie's roast potatoes has a "based on a true story" caption at the beginning, lol ffs it's just some voice over lad saying he liked his nan's Sunday dinner

Yeah, the radio station he joined had pre-recorded idents for the real Tommy Vance who dropped out,so that was the condition of employment for.. him.

belatedly noticed that they've changed up the scenario in the ad for direct prescriptions with the hen picked/useless husband and disapproving wife couple. this time he's mixed up her prescription with that of a mates wife after going for a quick pint on his way from collecting it, the useless fucker. last time he made a mistake whilst distracted by an article about collectable toy tin soldiers or some such idiocy. kinda love him tbh.
