oh, heh. yeah, i was amused by that one. Bombed most of the rest though. 3 a day may not save me from relegation in c, though that feels dead average!

I also got 3 right yesterday but it resulted in an extremely rare instance of winning with 3 correct answers in an A Rundle.

Forks, the 1DS we collaborated on was the reason why I got the Elvis question yesterday!

rundle a is relentless. three straight 6/6's last week, three straight ties. lost 5(7) to 5(8) yesterday. i got 5 again today (thank you middle school spanish inquisition project), hopefully that'll be enough

Do you guys feel like there have been a lot of MDs where all the questions are roughly equally hard? I may be just making excuses for my unusually bad DE but that's how it feels to me.

The thing is though that knowing what the subject is ahead of time can lead to questionable behavior -- like if I were sufficiently unscrupulous, I might read up on the subject before I look at the questions and not consider that cheating.

Yeah, I saw but didn’t want to say.

I knew who it was but put "Henry Beecher Stowe." Then, later in the day, but before I submitted, I was reading a book that mentioned Henry Ward Beecher. I stuck to my morals and submitted the wrong answer. Then won anyway because my opponent defended catastrophically badly. Karma!

It took me a second to think if that but it was kind of overdetermined that I would get it right

I answered "Beecher" but if you'd asked me for a first name, I would've said "Lyman" (Henry and Harriet's father).

Yesterday I was in 3rd place and thought for a moment I might get to participate in the LL championship?? But then I lost 6(5)-9(6), and now I'm in 5th. Theoretically, I could still make it, but it seems unlikely.

I missed that one as well, but managed to win.

I've guaranteed a winning record while also having a shot at ending in the top 10, although my next opponent has very intimidating numbers.

I knew beecher because he's buried in our nearby cemetery and I've visited his grave on a few occasions!

I had a similar reason.

I used to live across the street from a church with a statue of him out in front.

And then I also had a friend who was related: his mother’s maiden name was Harriet Beecher.

But I still had to think for a second.

I had something similar.

In my case it was the number 4 guy.

Although, I may have been the same guy.

Had a good season, but man, my opponents really rose to the occasion against me this time

Just voted in the Very Best Wrong Answer poll, but my heart wasn't in it.

I posted my worst TCA ever, though we're talking about 81 vs. 82, huzzah!

It's still a month away but there's a crossword 1DS that looks interesting.

Some good ones coming this week if I am not mistaken.
